3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with huge copper head. Nose is low on dark malt. Aroma is very roasted and coffee like with a vinous like note, dry, over riped grapes, licorice, slightly salted ? Interesting kind of stout.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
a good balance of roasted chocolate and coffee. solid but unexciting, and a little bit on the thin side too. just had after the massive green flash double stout had demolished my mouth though, so perhaps a bit of unfair comparison.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black body with no light going thorough. Tan fair brown head. Chocolaty on the nose, simple but very nice. Body is light, low carbonation. Taste is definitely chocolaty, some caramel, with plums and dried raisins in the background. Alcohol in after taste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 33 cl, BBE 6/2014. Pours dark brown, almost black in color
with foamy beige head. Dark syrup, roasted malts, chocolate and
hints of marzipan in aroma. Notes of chocolate and hints of some
salty licorice in taste. Feels incredibly smooth. Slightly roasted
coffee and chocolate with light hints of vinous notes and salty
licorice in aftertaste and perhaps you can even found some notes of
them oysters in finish. Well balanced, tasty and smooth brew.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice stout, black as tar, with a creamy off-white head and rather excessive carbonation, looking rather oceanic, as the head breaks into enormous bubbles, leaving a feeble skeleton of dried foam. The nose is pure chocolate. Quite oily, but very very pleasant. The taste is roasted malts, chocolates, perhaps licorice, no hint coffee (which is good), and a typical Belgian alcohol level that masks any saltiness or brininess that one wishes to detect in this type of beer. Full mouthfeel. But the Zeeland oysters did not a good job as the Nieuw Zeeland clams and oysters with our local brewers here have done.
