Golden-orange color, tight fizzy head. Nice unfiltered malt body with some citrus. Tangy. Ends with a slight burlap taste. Alright overall.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2007 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Hazy golden, small head. Black currant aroma. Sweet with clean mouthfeel and some papery malt. Fruity and fairly light bodied. Grassy hops stay in the background, but surface towards the finish that holds medium bitterness. Yeasty orangey notes awakes as the beer warms. Flavourwise pretty good, but the clean mouthfeel is not something I’ll go crazy over.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (7300) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 4, 2008
Huge, creamy head, yellowish, leaving shards of lace, and fed by lively fine-pearling chromate yellow-gold beer. Solvent, and quite a lot of it, making place for hops and (green)malt after venting seriously. Fresh-smelling, grassy. Sharp (green)malt tate, bit of caramel, coloured malts, but again revealing lots of solvent. Dough as well, yeasty-perfumey. Sharp MF, aggressive; creamy texture but ruined by the mouthfeel and carbonation. Pity- if the fermentation would be more under control, this might have been a pretty pleasing drinking ale.

(Bottle, BB 03/09) Pours a hazy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of dust, toasted grain, coriander, and light mixed berries. Flavor of spicy yeast, partially decayed orange peel, honey, apple, and florals.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin white head. Decent aroma of honey, yeast and hops. The flavor is also ok, but not exciting, there’s some hops, yeast and honey. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and gentle carbonation. Not bad overall, but tends to go on the boring side.

Bottled. Hazy golden colour with a mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is lots of spices and berries, with a witbier touch to it. Flavour is caramel, wheat, yeast and some toffee and honey kicking in. Good balance, and clean, but at the same time quite boring.

On Tap at The Morningstar, Utrecht, Netherlands 26.09.11 Pours a washed out gold colour in fact next to the Witheer by the same brewery there is not a lot of difference I had to sniff them to suss out what was what as the bar lady herself was confused after placing them down. Touch thin and wishy-washy in the mouth, not a lot to rave about this beer however also not much to criticise either, its just ok. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Hazy amber with a ring of white head; sour, grainy aroma; smooth, buttery, malty flavour leading to a warming, butterscotch finish. Very satisfying.
