0.33l bottle @ Braai Tapperij de Mug, Middelsburg. A cloudy deep brown one with a small heavy lacing off-white head. Smells dark malty, sweet, lots of dark dried fruits and some nice chocolate paper. Nice! It’s average to lively carbonated and it has a oily to sticky texture in the mouth. In the flavor I get a nice sweetness from dark malts, chocolate, dark caramel, fruits with a sharp boozy finish and aftertaste. This was a really nice one! 29.05.2012

Cola color with a good head that stays there for long time. Aromas not so intense. Sweet. Taste of caramel, dark sugar and dark fruits. Highly carbonated. A pleasant beer.

Ruikt naar hout, geiten, zoet, beetje wijnachtig, drop, dronkerbruin maar niet helder, heel licht bruine schuimkleur, te weinig koolzuur.

Bottle, 9C. Dark brown with a fluffy beige head. Aroma of toffee and bread. Taste is sweet with caramel and some dark berries before a dry, slightly spicy finish. Quite carbonated - liked it more after a few swirls. Nice balance but a bit anonymous.

Small bottle. Medium to dark brown body. Medium head. Sweet aroma with some berries. Taste has cola, dark berries and some yeast. Probably too sweet for the style. Needs more hops in the finish and more toast. Too sweet and light - perhaps the name wildebok (wild bock?) prepared me for something strong and toasty but this is very tame.

Shared bottle thanks to Jan Tore. Self pouring out of the bottle, hazy Coke coloured body with a big creamy tanned head. Aroma of chocolate and caramel, light roasted notes as well. Taste is almost the same, good malty caramel, with a very light alcohol burn at the end. Rather thin mouthfeel.

Amber/reddish body. Aroma of yeast, caramel. Taste is sweet (toffee, caramel again, red fruits) but ends somehow a hoppy and dry. Not bad

8/12/2011 33cl bottle @ Backdoor, Gent - BB: 12/11 (2011-697)

Very dark brown beer, small light beige head, unstable, not adhesive, dissipates completely. Aroma: very dark caramel, some mocha, sweet brown sugar, coffee, cocoa powder. MF: light carbon, full body. Taste: full complex flavour, dried fruits, chocolate, little sweet, caramel. Aftertaste: some hop bitterness, little sour, caramel, mocha and cocoa powder. Maybe it’s the age, but this is one mighty fine bock!
