Bier ziet er zeer smakelijk uit: donkerbruin, licht troebel met oranje gloed. Flinke beige en dichte schuimkraag die lang blijft zitten. Aroma van malt en gist, bloemen, bessen. Smaak is vrij zoet. Waterig, weinig complex en weinig body. Niet bijzonder.

Plum, nutty bread. Rich caramalt, toffee, prune tart, mild bittersweet finish, lots of sweet chocolate in the bottom.. Quite rich and flavorful, decent brew for its style.

Een heel lekker donker bier, met een smaak die je niet veel tegenkomt. Echt een aanrader

Pours a redish beer with a nice beige head. Smells like caramel, malt and general sweet. Tastes malty, bitter and sweet. Leaves a bitter palate with a gentle sweet touch. Great beer but nothing extraordinary.

Better than most other sweet bock beers. Has a nice yeasty and spicy taste.

0,33L bottle, BB 06.2014. Pours very dark ruby with huge light tan head. The head stays for a long time. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malts, perfumy, raisins. Flavor: dark fruits, raisins, caramel, yeast. Finish is dark chocolate bitter with raisins. It’s rather creamy for bock. Overall: not a classic bock, it feels like a mix of classic Trappist beer and bock, it’s definitely more fruity and more yeasty than regular bocks. I really enjoy it (but of course I love raisins!).

Bottle, 330 ml, at home. Poured into a snifter. ABV 6.5% Pours a dark red brown beer, with two full fingers of light beige head on top.Thick, with good retention. Medium lacing left around the glass. Aroma of nuts, grains. After it warms up a bit aromas of light caramel appear. Taste of caramel, dark malts, nuts. Mildly sweet with only the slightest hint of bitterness at the end. Medium thin body, okay carbonation. Overall a decent one, nothing exciting but smooth and very drinkable.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a dark chesnut brown with a frothy, long-lasting, off-white head. The aroma is rich raisin, yeast and some dry malt. The flavour is light sweet, light bitter with a sweet watery malt, yeast palate and a very short bitter finish. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Not my favourite bok by a long way.
