Fukito (595), Buenos Aires, Argentina Jul 13, 2008 Bottle, May 2008. Opaque deep, dark brown color with a medium, disappearing light tan head. Flavor is of liquorice, some ripe banana, a touch of plums and burnt suga/ caramel. Nice but a bit rough. Medium mouthfeel, flavorfull and warming. Really drinkable, finishes a bit suddenly though. Slightly alcoholic aftertaste. Molasses aroma, although somewhat shy. Nice and drinkable bock.
Stew41 (883), Caulfield, Australia Sep 27, 2008 This bottle might have been slightly long in the tooth but I reckon it still showed quite well. Quite brown with a thin head, a little darker in colour than expected. Nose shows meaty malts, stinky fruits and hints of spice. Surprisingly dry to taste with salt and spice, and maybe a hint of balsamic vinegar. I’ll put the latter character down to age but I though it complemented the beer quite well. This house is very consistent with its offerings and this beer gives me no cause to change that opinion. Jerre (1410), Waregem, Belgium Sep 24, 2008 Bottle, 33 cl. (bought @ Willems)
