jbrus (4117), Delft, Netherlands Mar 31, 2006 Bottled. Aroma of coreander and light citrus. Cloudy, yellow color, fine white head, good lace. Sweet, light citric, wheat, coreander, lemon, soft bitterness, soft body. HermanW (491), Coevorden, Netherlands Aug 2, 2004 A very good witbier. My compliments. mike1977ok (365), Netherlands Mar 24, 2008 Spicy aroma of coriander and yeast. Noce spicy flavour, refreshing and easy to drink. Texture is a tad thin and watery. ALLOVATE (1108), Perth, Australia Dec 17, 2006 Bottle into a tumbler. Quite lively, the head rose to settle at a good inch and a half. Laced wickedly as it went. The body an opaque, sandy straw with a lot of tight carbonation. Dominant three C’s on the nose - Caraway, Cardamom and coriander - all ground nicely to offer a dry, spicy and flowery edge to some softer notes of fresh squeezed lemon and candied pear. Quite nice. Concentrated lemon juice up first on the palate. Slight pine wood showing, good doughy, yeasty mouthfeel, not too gluggy. Very, very soft in carbonation - too much so. A lot of wheat, not sour, more a fresh reaped, cereal grain flavour. The oats are evident and interweave nicely. Cloves in back shier than the aroma. The other two spices have left the building. Lemon juice in and on the swallow. Light grainy, pasty aftertaste and after-feel. Quite refreshing, though the carbonation could be hyped up a little to make it bounce. As is it was a little heavy for a session. A good Wit, though, if ever there was one. (33cL, BB 06/07, Int’l Beer Shop, W. Lime-lemony, slightly sour flavor with some coriander-spiciness. Medium-bodied, quite refreshing palate with soft carbonation. A nice and balanced witbier.
