COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This legendary beer style has a richness of history to match its rich flavor. The beer was named in Einbeck, Germany during a city celebration where the strong dark beer was being served. It seems that a bock (the German word for goat) entered the grounds unseen. Soon after, one of the villagers was knocked to the ground. The bock was standing nearby and to this day it is still unclear whether it was the beer, or the bock, which leveled the villager. <br /> Ingredients: Pale, Caramel, Cara Pils and Black malts, imported Hallertau and domestic Cascade hops. <br /> Available January through April.

Bottle from a Schell variety pack. Brownish with a tan head that holds modestly, not much lacing, nutty malty flavoe and quite good for the style

Pours medium red-brown with a 3-finger creamy beige head that has awesome retention. Aroma is lot of rich caramel, light roast, crusty and doughy white bread, wood and earth notes and a hint of mild chocolate. Flavor is caramel, bread crust, sweet grain, sweet granola, mild chocolate, earth, light citrus, hay, grass and roast. Finishes with dark caramel, sweet grain and a little grain. Medium bodied with a light creaminess, somewhat dry finish and pleasantly mild carbonation. This is a really nice brew, tasty and rich, but not too heavy on the palate.

Pour is a browm with a large white head. Aroma is nutty with some sweet caraml malt and a bit of metal. Flavor is some caramel malt and finishes with an smoke flavor. This is alright nothing great though.

Pours a reddish brown color with a medium semi loose fluffy light tan head and soem lace. The araom is nutty with some caramel notes and is just lightly metallic. The flavor is lightly fruityand nutty with som caramel, very well balanced. My brother in law says it’s smooth!

Bottle. Beautiful translucent sanguine body, thin tight buff head. Burnt caramel nose with toffee and toast, grassy hops. Toasty body with tart burnt caramel and sweet brown sugar, and hints of candy corn. Long, leafy finish. Tasty.

12 oz bottle from Crystal Liquor Barrel. Deep copper color with lots of head. Very nice aroma, notes of nuts and caramel. Flavor also very solid with more nuts and caramel, malty and sweet. Medium mouthfeel, a bit chewy (in a good way) with a sweet finish.

Nice caramel color,small white head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind,the aroma was mildly caramel and malty.The flavor was a once in a lifetime flavor,meaning you only want the flavor once in a lifetime.Yeah yeah it had the usual malty cand caramle taste but it was weak as hell.Overall i wouldn’t wish this brew on my worst enemy.......well maybe i would just for laughs.

Reddish brown with off-white head. Light roasted and caramel aromas. Malt roast, caramel, and mild alcohol (whiskey-like) flavours. Watery, with mild bitter finish.
