The perfect beer for people who want a specialty craft beer, but may not want all the flavor and heaviness.
Ingredients: Pale 2 Row and Black malts, corn, extract, Cluster hops.

Amber to clear color, watery, not much flavor. Reminds me a Miller High Life with some food coloring added. Not an impressive dark.

Dark amber thin white head. Malty aroma. Light body light malt nothing special.

Hmm...I guess I can't say it's bad but it is very disappointing nonetheless. A boring lager that tastes remarkably bland. I think the color is for show only.

Not much aroma, just the standard American lager smell, like the floor at a concert. No head, very thin, lively carbonation. Tastes pretty much like their original. Color is there to impress visually, I guess. Not a bad cheap beer, but nothing special to seek out.

Brown with a hint of orange in color. Small bone colored head. Light dry caramel aroma. Sweet dark candi flavor with a herbal hops finish. Lacks balance. Somewhat salty and metallic.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2004 not so super, kind of disappointed, little actual taste with a metalic thing going on afterwards, Re-rate head to head with berghoff Genuine dark. Malty alcohol aroma, no head to speak of, with a dark brown pour. malty grainy sort of flavor, not great, but everyone is entitled to a few mistakes now and then

O.k., so the aroma is weak and the palate is quickly flat, and that it retains no head (on a nice color), and the flavor has a bit of malty substance to it but that it dissipates into a bland American beer...that doesn't make it a bad beer, does it?

Disappointed in this one. Not much flavor. Head evaporated almost instantly, little to no lacing at all. Pass this one up

Pours out to an amber, not necessarily dark color in the glass. As with the other Schell offerings, this one has a very slight head. Little to no aroma other than fairly light malt. Taste is predominantly that of malt with a slight sweetness. Comparible to Michelob Amber bock crossed with a Killian’s Red. Average at best.
