Pours a dark semi clear brown colour with a medium sized tan head. Head is quick to dissapear, leaving behind little lacing. Almonds, oak and raisins on the nose. Taste is lighter then i expected. Lacks a solid mouthfeel, slightly watery on the palate.

Bottle. Clear, light brown/dark amber pour with a medium head. Faint aroma of roasted malt and nut. Flavor of roasted malt; slightly sweet, though not much else going on. Light body and pretty drinkable. OK beer.

Pours dark reddish brown with a mostly receding tan head. Tastes of toasted malt, caramel malt and adjuncts (corn). Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Not impressed.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear, dark amber (almost red colored), with a large active tan head that fades some. Aroma is of malt and sugar. Taste is the same, but with some caramel notes. This reminds me of their Caramel Bock, but a little less exciting. Though I paid a little more than what I wanted, this is a pretty good beer, as it is smooth and clean tasting. Also, kudos on the packaging and bottling as they are eye catching. It is pretty nice to see a dark/amber colored beer in a clear bottle. On a side note, I feel this beer is better enjoyed in the bottle.

Blah. This has been a bad beer week for me. This is the worst dunkel I have ever had. No aroma (just a hint of malt). Pour was nice enough. A deep amber with a one finger off white head that stayed a while. Taste was disgusting. No real flavor in the front but a sweet and sticky aftertaste. I think whoever entered this may have been joking on the commercial description "The perfect beer for people who want a specialty craft beer but man not want all the flavor....". It doesn’t say that on my bottle but it sums the beer up nicely.

12 oz. clear glass bottle, Metrodome Bar, Minneapolis, MN. A deep amber color with a thin off white head that fades quickly. Sweet aroma with caramel and malt flavors. Thin mouth feel that drinks like a lite. An OK Dunkel.

On tap at Sgt. Pepper’s in Oakdale, MN. Brown color with a small head. The aroma was a very sweet malt--brown sugar or caramel. The flavor was a little flat but definite malt noticeable. Lacked complexity but was drinkable. Maybe the bottles taste worse but this wasn’t that bad. I’d drink it again in a pinch.

Pours a deep copper, yuengling-like with a fizzy grayish head which fades to nothing. Aroma is sugary sweeet, brown sugar, toasted malts, corny and gritty with some metallic hints. Nutty toasty flavor with a blood- iron metallic quality. Seems cheaply made.
