1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 SavageElvis (134) - Savage, Minnesota, USA - OCT 19, 2007
Light golden color, slight malt nose with some hops to it. No head or lacing. I had a hard time telling the difference between this and the Schell’s main label beer. Either way neither one is very good. Schell’s can make, and does make much better beer than this. The need to improve or weed these out. A substandard beer.

12oz bottle. very light, extremely pale color. short lived fluffy white head. simple grainy nose is complimented by faint herbs and grassy hops. rich corny grain flavor and mild hop bite. slightly better than your average macro.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Skyview (4739) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 25, 2007
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from The Coffee Ground in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Looks and tastes just like the Schell’s Original but new label design. It pours a light golden pale yellow with a very thin white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet corn, and maybe even some popcorn without the salt and butter. A bit fizzy on the carbonation. Taste is light, crisp, and some fruity tones. Palate is smooth and dry.
1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 SledgeJr (3579) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUL 22, 2007
In the can. Thanks to KJ for the beer. Pours bright golden yellow with a poofy, but ethereal head. I’m not sure what badnews is drinking, but no one would call this beer copper in the daylight. The flavor is crisp and light with a watery and slightly metallic tinghe. A subtle rush of lemon at the finish. This is thirst-quenching after a Sunday afternoon of weeding, but not a beer to savor. With that said, it is far less insulting to the palate than most macros and a solid regional party beer. This is seriously overrated on this site at 2.9, but I will say that it seems to have a bit more depth than the onslaught of off brands that Schell also markets. Good luck defining a specific aroma for this one.

translucent copper body with minimal white head..aroma is syrupy sweet, with bizarre hints of green apple and white grape...flavor is that of grape skin, corn, and a touch of hops...its like a cross between a cider and a pils...not offensive, but a bit questionable

This brewery is highly overrated here. This stuff is OK, but certainly not top echelon. A medium body lager, fairly smooth up front, but not complex, mostly grain. Some hop crispness, but not top quality hops. Finish is OK but not perfect. So many beers are better.

Golden color, small white head.Malty, cerealish aroma.Mild malty taste with some sweetness and a cereal cornflake sort of flavor.Hops are mild with a good light finish. The beer is pretty decent i think with a good malty lightly sweet taste that is easy going. Not bad.
