Poured a clear gold/yellow with minimum head and lacing. Nose was of sweet corn with a fruity hint. Corn predominates the taste with slight twist of pear in the mix and light hop finish. Palate was average and unexceptional. Overall, not a terrible brew but not as good as what I was expecting based on the average rating.

Pour out of 12 oz can, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, dough, cereal, some grain, corn. Taste was a mix of grain, bread, corn, slight yeast, finishing slightly sweet, slightly dry.

In all the years I’ve never tried the original deer brand until this sample pack. About as clear as it gets. When I rate a beer like this it’s about is easy drinking and clean without foul or rank flavors or after tastes. This one does the job well. I prefer it over Premium.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a sweet light grain note with a bit of grass and a hint of corn underlying. Flavor combines light grains and grass with a bit of hay as well as a hint of corn.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains, some malts, and a little corn on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes pretty clean.

Pale clear yellow with a thin filmy head that fades fast. Aroma of pale malts, corn, yeasts and barley. Flavor is the same but with a sweeter taste and greater emphasis on flaked corn. Light body with moderate carbonation. Tastes better than it smells.

Can. Pours a light yellow color with white head. Light, malty, corn, pils aromas. Bread, corn, pils flavors. Pretty light beer, but pretty smooth. I think if I was living in Minnesota while in college, I would have pounded a lot of these. Easy drinking, not great, but better than other similar macro pale lagers.

This is an okay lager, definitely better than most. Its not quite as corn flavored, has a nice malt base.

Bottle poured a clear yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of bread, corn and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of bread and light straw with a smooth finish.
