COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This all malt, Vienna-style lager is a real crowd pleaser! Roasted malts and imported hops give it a deliciously smooth malt taste backed by a light hop finish. Perfect for any occasion.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2010 I’m not sure if I liked this one or not. From New Ulm, which is a good brewery. Was in a sampler pack, and I think this was my least favorite.

Amber approaching light brown. This beer has a malty, banana aroma. Carries a sweet flavor expected by the aroma. Moderate body.

Poured into Sam Adams Sensory Glass. Color is a golden bronze. The beer looks dark, but you can see right through it. Pours a light tan head that leaves great lacing. Smell is very malty. Roasted malts with hints of carmel. Taste is of roasted nuts and the same hint of carmel. The taste is mainly malty, but there are some slight earthy hops present. Mouthfeel is very rich and creamy. The beer goes down with a slight bitter aftertaste. Overall this beer is easy to drink and could be a wonderful session beer. It is a great beer, however the taste becomes more and more of a typical lager after a while, and I am more of a fan of ales. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-02-2009 21:00:41

Bottle. Pour is ruby red and brown with big soapy head and nice lacing. Aroma is malt and swamp water with little fruit and bread. Taste is more the same really mixed up with malt and lemon citrus together with bread. Palate is sticky and dry with no distinct balance. I don’t know what to think?

12 oz bottle from Hy-Vee - Red color with a very long-lasting white foamy head. Taste is a bit grainy, but in a good way. Good texture. Nice beer.

Not as impressive as the hopfenmalz I just tried, but a tasty vienna none-the-less - very malt-forward, with rich vienna malt showcased quite well, as all other qualities take a back seat - bread but clean, with a medium toasty, roasted character - the tiniest bit of acidity way in the back - malt lingers far into the finish, but subdued hop character adds a light crispness to the finish - balanced and tasty - viennas get no love.

Very faint aroma, consisting of mild hops and a background of malts. Flavor is very similar, with a heavy malt beginning and a faint hop finish.

Pleasing malt aroma. Deep orange to brown color, thin white head, clear. Very smooth taste, slightly bitter, a little sweetness hidden. Medium body, medium texture, avg carbonation. Good beer for the style... enjoyed this; not overly complex... doesn’t need to be. Would repeat.
