This all malt, Vienna-style lager is a real crowd pleaser! Roasted malts and imported hops give it a deliciously smooth malt taste backed by a light hop finish. Perfect for any occasion.

The Firebrick is a brown appearing lager. The aroma is quite malty, and somewhat citrusy as well. This aroma is muted, however, when sipping the beer. I’m having trouble getting a good taste of it. It’s strange; I’m just not getting much out of this beer.

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2011 Hmmmm, the day after I drank this swill it felt like there was a brick of fire shoved up my nether regions! Keep this one for your in-laws, keep the Blatz for yourself! Think about it.

Nice malty lager with fair head and nice lacing. Most notable is the green grape notes at the beginning. Finishes just a little harshly

Copper color with a creamy tan head. Caramel aroma with a rich, roasted but sweet and malty taste. Hints of bread and caramel in the flavor. One of the finer brews from Schell’s.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a lasting light amber head. Aromas of carmel, light earthiness and light fruittiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, bread, light earthiness and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering malty finish.

[Tap] Pours a dark shade of amber with a very small white head. Aroma of light malts and dry grains. Rather light in body, with caramel malts and a light and dry finish. Rather high carbonation. Seems like a pretty run-of-the-mill example of the style, but without any major flaws.

Bottle. Pour is light brown and clear. Aroma is malty, yeasty and lightly hoppy. Flavor is fuller bodied, nicely hoppy and pleasantly malty. It’s solid beer and easy to drink.
