Amber, orange color, malty aroma with a nice roast and a bit of caramel.malty roasty flavor with a citrusy side,a touch of hops and a mild bite towards the end.Not bad, could go a little further on the malt and caramel i think but, it’s pretty smooth and easy to do.

Malty, Malt, Malt, Malt. Could stand to be hopped up a little to even things out. I liked it, but then it was beer what more can I say. Doubt I will buy it again.

Pours small head with a dark amber color. A little cloudy... could have been the light though. It looks and smells a lot better than it tastes. Smooth but somewhat flat. Could use a little more carbonation. Nothing too impressive. Where’s the Zing???

Where to start..... Far from a good beer this one rings in just barely above Budweiser.

If you expect a heavy beer this is certainly not it.. The name implies something that might be something like drinking tar, but upon first taste you know its very easy on the palate. Very nice orange color and moderate quickly dissapating head. Aroma very sweet, malty, with tiny hint of hops. I agree with the previous post that claims "dessert type beer". When I first tried it I was "extremely impressed", but as I try more things, I am now just "impressed". A good beer.

The first beer I have ever opened, sipped for the first time, and exclaimed, "Wow!" Tastes like a very light guinness.

I have enjoyed this brew ever since my stay at the Holiday Inn in New Ulm, MN. Whenever I find this available, I always buy. Let my ratings speak for my lack of description.

Sweet and malty, and very satisfying to drink. One of the better Schell offerings, and always a pleasure.

Overall a really pleasing beer. Pleasant malitiness is not overpowering, keeps its flavor well balanced with the hops. Filling, with a slight sweet, almost fruity flavor.
