COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer is a traditional, German-style Gose (pronounced “Gose-uh”), using over 20 pounds of coriander spice in each brew. It has a bright lemon zest, coriander aroma and a slight saltiness that rounds out this new summer brew. The beer pours clear, golden orange in color, with a thick white foam head. A refreshingly light and citrusy tartness greets your palate, backed by a bready, wheat malt character.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear dark golden color with a nice white head. The aroma is somewhat fruity, somewhat dry crackers. The flavor is malt-accented with very low hop bitterness. I am not getting much of the salt taste which others have described, perhaps just a touch in the aftertaste. All in all, this tastes mostly like a pretty good Kölsch, but not so unusual as I had expected.

This came as part of a sampler pack I purchased in Rochester. Goosetown Gose pours a golden hue with a thick head that leaves behind a nice lacing. There is a good amount of carbonation present as well. The scent of this beer is of wheat, coriander, salt and a bit of lemon. The taste is of wheat and lemon with a bit of saltiness. Overall this is a very good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours hazy golden apple, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is heavy on coriander, floral, a bit of salty wheat. Flavor is light sweet, tiny hint of tartness, loads of coriander and floral, minimal bitterness. Medium light body, lingering floral finish. Meh.

12 oz. bottle from sampler pours a clear reddish golden with practically no head and no lacing. Aroma has corn and wheat bread. Taste is neither sweet nor bitter, with coriander coming out in the short finish. Body is thin with average carbonation. This is a fairly boring, slightly spiced lager I probably won’t try again, even though I love Schell’s and support the old family-owned brewery near my hometown.

Schell jumps on the gose/ Berliner bandwagon with this Frankenstein mashup. Clear gold pour. Fizzy white head. Nose is corn, sour, yeast, grape skin. Really watery palate. Tastes like a tangy adjunct lager. Finishes dry and very slightly sour, with faint notes of armpit sweat. A sour beer for people who don’t like sour beer. Not a fan.

Bottle. Dark straw color with thin white head that dissipates quickly and some lacing. Salty biscuit aroma. Effervescent salty bite upfront with biscuit malt with caramel notes. Not a particularly long finish but with a bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear red gold pour. Aroma slight grass. Tastes lager salt, sweet bread. Leans into the lager style pretty seriously.

On tap at Twins Stadium. Pours a clear a gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has an earthy wheat with a good amount of bread and a touch of salt. Flavor is similar with earthy grain and bread with a touch of salt.

Aroma is like most scrappy domestics. Flavor is saltwater with aftertaste of copper and a little corn. Not awful but really, really boring.
