COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer is a traditional, German-style Gose (pronounced ďGose-uhĒ), using over 20 pounds of coriander spice in each brew. It has a bright lemon zest, coriander aroma and a slight saltiness that rounds out this new summer brew. The beer pours clear, golden orange in color, with a thick white foam head. A refreshingly light and citrusy tartness greets your palate, backed by a bready, wheat malt character.

Tap @ Grumpys NE. Pours a bit orangish yellow appearance with a white head. A bit citrusy, lightly spicy, wheat, mild grassy hoppy aroma. Just a bit of salt and coriander in the flavor with some citrusy notes and mild wheat. Adjuncts are held in check well but the beer is a little bland.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Orange-amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, yeast and slight spice. Light-bodied with flavors of tart citrus, bready malt and yeast. Subtle saltiness in the background. The finish is fruity with a short citrus aftertaste. Barely average overall.

16oz can, thanks to Scott L. for sharing! Totally clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Dots of lace. Coriander, bready wheat aroma in the nose. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lightly crisp lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Kind of zesty taste, moderate sweet, light bitter. Nice lemon notes in the aroma, light spice. Alright gose, itís solid.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of slight grain, cracker, biscuit, hints of earth, slight salt but pretty little. †Taste is a mix of slight cracker, biscuit, spice notes, hints of grass, no salt or tart notes in there at all, finishing slightly bitter, dry. †Too bad.

Bottle from Four Firkins. Light orange pour with a smaller head. I almost smell vegetable soup. Coriander is there but not over the top. Not terrible, not great.

Can shared by Scott. Pours a clear orange golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale, grainy, wheat malts, some bready character, corn, light citrus, salt, light spice. Just so so.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-amber color with a large fluffy-foamy orange-white head that faded and left decent lacing. The aroma was a bit tart, salty and bready. The flavor was tart citrus, coriander and salt - nicely mixed and with a pleasant subtlety - with an undertone of bread and Sprite soda. Medium finish of Sprite, salt and bread. Medium body. Pleasant.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2014 There is no way this is a gose. This is plainly an attempt to compete with Leinenkugelís Summer Shandy. Big artificial lemon character and sugar. It isnít sour or salty.I have never had a gose with so much coriander. In any event, this might be the worst beer I have had from Schellís. I can see where it might fit in at a summer BBQ, so serve it to your friendís who donít really like beer.
