   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 2/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 6/20
Skyview (5215) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - SEP 2, 2013
Sampled on draught at All Pints North in Duluth, MN. Pours a semi-hazy golden yellow colored brew with an average sized off-white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of golden grain malt, multi-floral and citrusy hops and a hint of honey. Taste is medium bodied, a tad sweeter than the regular premium Grain Belt with some noble hop presence. Finish is slightly metallic with a sharp bitterness, then leaves behind a semi-sweet golden grain malt aftertaste. Kind of reminds of of the old GBX malt liquor that the original Grain Belt Breweries once made back in the 1970s. Please, leave GBX in the past, where it belongs.

Sample at APN. Not very good, like a hopped up Grain Belt, which isn’t even appealing to think about.

BVery (6416) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 13, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 Tap at All Pints North. Hazy light yellow pour. Vomit-y and gross. Pass on this one.

Firkin Fest 2013. I can only assume this was kind of a joke for the festival, because the end result is undrinkable. It has the sweetness of Premium with slightly more hops, and that doesn’t work at all. I know Schell’s can pull off interesting experimental beers, unfortunately this is not one of them. Cloudy orange color.
