3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is overall, a decent beer, especially for the style. Bready sweetness, some honey. Tried at the brewery with Vaughn and Amanda.

Light amber with a solid quilt of light creamy foam. Smells of sweet malts, hint of carbboard, artificial cherry, some sweet biscuit. Flavor is quite sweet, some herbal character, some tea, some grain and orange. Medium bodied with sharp, but fleeting carb and a moderately wet finish. Not my favorite.

2.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap, clear gold with a small white head and a small amount of lacing. Aroma is a subtle but gives hints of citrus and yeast. A light and creamy mouthfeel with average carbonation finishes clean. Medium bitterness and lightly sweet. A hint of bitterness lingers. Overall, lacking in aroma which ultimately detracts from the experience but still a solid brew.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice flavor, really easy drinking and great on a warm day yet quite flavorful. I liked this much better than similar beers from some other brewers. Quite enjoyed, will buy again given the chance. I wish Schells had a wider distribution.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours clear golden amber with a tight thin foamy film. Aroma has solid malt with subtle sugars and hidden hops and some mild honey fruit scents. Taste is smooth and sweet with just the perfect amount of bitterness and again subtle honey fruit in the finish. Palate is medium smooth somewhat creamy and finishes dry. I really like this!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a fairly clear hazy orange color with some moderate carbonation. Aroma has some sweet caramel, yeast, barley and malty notes along with some very mild floral hops. Flavor is surprisingly hoppy at first before settling in to a sweet yeast and caramel finish; Aftertaste is barley-like Palate is light and the carbonation is moderate; feels surprisingly crisp to drink. Easy to drink overall, but not my goto Maibock

2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Its hard to get around the metallic aroma this has for some reason. If you make it that far the taste is actually not bad, big malty beginning and decent underlying hops.

Over the years I have come to expect very little from Schell’’s and this certainly lived up to expectations! Maifest=Festival in May? No festival I will go to again, forever. No sir, stick with the year-round festival that can be found in a case of Blatz! Pop a top of that junk and you are transported away to a festival of the imagination: your IQ will double or triple, that messy body fat will melt away, your muscletone will triple, and any number of floozies will be hovering around screaming out, "Gib mir etwas von diesem großen Wurst!"
