elektrogeist (158), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 14, 2006 12oz bottle: Seems to me like a pretty much average pilsner fare, but who knows where this bottle has been and how long. Aroma is of sweet malts, not detecting much hops.. maybe some floral ones. I think the previous reviewer was right, it’s lacking in the German noble hops that every good pilsner ought to have. Still drinkable and tasty, but not what a pilsner should be.
pj1855 (66), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours a pale gold color. Some spotty lacing. Sweet aroma. Malts and spice on the front end. Hoppy lemon finish. Bit dry. Some light carbonation. Not bad at all. SODAK14 (53), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA Jul 26, 2008 This beer must really not be good for my specific palate or I just good a skunky batch! Had a good head and great carbonation. "Looked" very drinkable and Pilsners are one of my favorite types od beers but... Decent flavor when it hit the mouth but a horrible, metallic aftertaste. Trev (540), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Jun 28, 2008 Pours a light gold with frothy white head that manages to last fairly well, and vigorous carbonation. Soft grassy, slightly soapy aroma. Grainy malt underneath.
Taste is light and grainy, some grassy bitterness.
Very drinkable. A decent pils. IlanMan (571), Winona, Minnesota, USA Jun 27, 2008 Decent but nothing special. Some hop character in the beginning and and decently balanced brew but nothing stuck out that made me think about this beer a second time. Would not buy again. wxman (458), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Jun 23, 2008 Pours a bright yellow gold with an white egg-white head that dissipates, but lingers and rings the glass. Aroma is soft pale malt, wet bread, and just a hint of hop flowers. Taste is smooth; a little grassy. Very pilsner-like without being overly hoppy. The pale malt sweetness is allowed to share the stage; therefore not as crisp as other pils. A very good effort. Well balanced and true to the style, yet a real summer thirstquencher. Cheers!
