2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Probiere (992) - Iowa, USA - JAN 1, 2008Courtesy jsquire. A very confused and weak malt profile, some sour notes and mild cereal taste with sweetness but nothing solid. Hops are there, hay, grass, herbs, but the malt lacking throws the whole thing off.

Nice easy drinker for a warm day - it is 20 outside (F not C)! Clear yellow in color with a large white head. Does remind me of the beer in Czech Republic, maybe a bit less bitter. Would not mind having a few of these after mowing the lawn.

Poured a nice mid-gold with a frothy head that faded slowly to lacing which remained throughout. Aroma was a mix of hops with a slight pear hue along with malts. Pearish hops predominate the taste although a nice malty backbone comes thru. Palate was nice. Overall a decent, drinkable pilsner.
