elektrogeist (157), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 15, 2006 12oz bottle: middle of the road alt, like most of the other brews from this company. pretty good, but still lacking that special oompf that is in a real, good german altbier. still worth a try, if you can get it.
Styles (1653), Taylor, Michigan, USA May 20, 2008 Dark amber/mahogany, decent head. Aroma has plenty of malt up front. Nutty toffee and light chocolate, nothing else. Flavor has the same malt sweetness, with some cinnamon and clove? maybe nutmeg? Have no idea what that is doing in here? Again nothing special. SavageElvis (131), Savage, Minnesota, USA Nov 10, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours copper with a medium/small head. Can mostly smell malt. The flavor is also fairly malty and pretty sweet. Not a smuch hops as I would like. Good mouth feel to this medium bodied brew. No lacing but a smooth finish. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 04/21/2007
