COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
August Schell Snow Storm is a limited edition beer produced each year for the Holiday season. Snow Storm was created in 1994 as a way for our brewmaster to be creative in brewing different styles of beers. Each year brings a different beer, ranging from fruit flavored lagers to rich dark alts. The 2005 August Schell Snow Storm is a Dusseldorf style alt. This alt is a bronze to deep copper in color with a full malty body, a dry finish and a slight hop bitterness. Enjoy this legendary alt before it becomes an "alt" legend.

Dark amber/mahogany, decent head. Aroma has plenty of malt up front. Nutty toffee and light chocolate, nothing else. Flavor has the same malt sweetness, with some cinnamon and clove? maybe nutmeg? Have no idea what that is doing in here? Again nothing special.

12 oz. bottle. Pours copper with a medium/small head. Can mostly smell malt. The flavor is also fairly malty and pretty sweet. Not a smuch hops as I would like. Good mouth feel to this medium bodied brew. No lacing but a smooth finish.

Deep reddish mahogany color with a small tan head. Mild nutty/malty aroma with a slightly metallic tang. Flavor is roasted malt and hazelnuts with some brown sugar and a bit of herbal hops. Decent roasty finish but a bit on low end of medium bodied. The best of the Schell sampler pack and worth seeking out.
