4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nice light straw with diaphanous character and fluffy, short lived white cap. Smells nice and balanced with funk and sharpness from grain, lacto and seemingly a touch of brett. Nice tart flavor with lemons, clay, apple (underripened) and a little acetic note. Thin bodied with appropriately upper end carb and a solidly dry finish. Nice beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Exira Beer Summit IV. Thanks to bnielsen13 for bringing. Pours a hazy yellow color with white head. Wheat, lemon, slight tart aromas. Sweet, lemon, spritzy, slightly tangy flavors. Very drinkable. Worth trying, but I don’t know if it’s worth $14.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit IV, Day 2. Thanks to bnielsen13! Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with a tiny white head. Grassy, very wheat grainy, lemon, a bit spritzy, a bit funky nose. Tangy pineapple, juicy lemon, a touch cheesy, dry, sour citrusy flavor. Not bad but not really worth the price tag.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to skyview:   Very pale straw, hazy, thin sudsy white head, sparce lacing.   Huge tart wheaty nose. Smells very clean and unadulterated.   Spritzy and wheaty up front, tart, slightly dry, very clean.   Very simple, but spot on.   Beats the piss out of most other American made examples.   Very faint fruitiness, lemons and tart unripened apples.   Okay, its a bit drier than I first thought.   This was great, clean, dry, slightly fruity, tart, did I mention dry?   Thanks again Bob!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thanks Joe for sharing! Quick review from notes.
This was a highlight of the night.
Pours a brilliantly clear pale yellow, supercharged with champagne streamers of racing carbonation. Compact but sturdy head of bone white foam, it has a creamy texture and laces well on the glass.
Sour apple aroma with a slight cheese rind funk from the Lactobacillus.
Tastes like a very tart sour apple, super crisp and quenching, clean lacto tartness that dries out immediately in the finish. Expressive yeast flavors give it a unique fruity apple/crabapple taste and a vaguely funky wild yeast character. Spritzy champagne carbonation, zesty and light, just about perfect. The wood aging and Berlin yeast cultures seems to have benefitted this beer immensely.
One of the better American Berliner Weisse examples out there, hope they continue making this in the future.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fizzy yellow pour with heavy carbonation, but little head. Aroma is musty and tart. Some citrus. Flavor is only very mildly acidic. Not tart at all really. Very mild. and grainy. Interesting cereal notes. Just ok.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 11, 2013 Bottle: thanks, Jeff! Pale straw, hazy and muddled with a green-ish tint to the body; fizzy head like you’d see on a Sprite - gone in seconds. Aroma is big-time musty, damp cellar funk, sweat, moldy oak, damp carpet, lots of lemon-lime fruit skins, and a sharp, finishing acidity. Taste is sweet-tart fruit skins, lightly acidic, with musty, cobweb funk; chunky yeast, moldy wet floorboard, damp cellar notes, huge cereal grain and wheat filled finish. A touch more cheesy funk and lemon skin in the aftertaste. A very true to style, incredibly funky and nicely tart Berliner.
