COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schell’s Stout has been chosen as our newest year round craft beer offering. As our 2006 Snow Storm, the Stout received so many requests to bring the beer back, we simply couldn’t ignore them. A departure from our traditional German style lagers, our Schell’s Stout is a London-Style Sweet Stout. If you enjoy the taste of coffee and chocolate, you’ll love this delicious brew. We used only the finest malts imported from Great Britain. Sure, it might cost a little more to brew, but we’re certain you’ll agree it’s worth it.

The best of their regular beers. Pretty tasty and a nice mouthfeel. Still pretty middle of the road though.

Pour this and it’s black, yes as black as any beer I’ve seen. Taste is smoother than most stouts. I’ve had many and this one may be my favorite. Thanks!!!

Poured a nice color color, with not much of a head on it. Had a nice chocolate scent and had a very light smokiness flavor.

Bottle from Joe: pours dark brownish black with a faint off white head. Cooking chocolate, sugary, roasted malts. OK finish but lacking. Drinkable

Bottle. Poured dark brown color with medium to large brown frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium toasted malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium toasted sweet malt flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Very straightforward stout with the typical bitter bite to it balanced by the malts, a little boring but still a good example of the style.

Other than beating the tar out of Guinness this doesn’t do too much for me. PAss.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Dark brew with on finger of tan head that settles down to a persistent froth. Aroma of roasted (burnt) malts with coffee overtones. Fine taste of burnt malts. coffee, chocolate, a sweet but not cloying finish. Palate is satisfying and good. Very refined and well balanced.

Dark pour with a brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, some sweetness. Taste is a little thin, roasted malt. Nice lacing, little creamy.

Bottle. Very dark brown/black pour, quickly dissipating carbonation and a nice light and sweet chocolate chip and vanilla aroma. Flavor is light peat and smoke, some sweet lactose and finishes a little thin. Not bad.
