22.09.2013. 0,5l Bottle. Dark brown colour with off-white head. Aroma is maty. Dark malts with sweet notes at the end. Rather rich with soft notes of caramel. There is also some fresh yeast notes. Bitterness is low and leaves a soft sweet malty flavour. Good beer.

Nose is raisin. Mouth is not very intensive raisin aroma, plus some roasty notes. Black colour, minimal white head. Light sweetness, lightly sour, also a bit salty. Thin texture, even a bit watery, lively carbonation (too high in my opinion). Overall too sweet, too much raisin aroma, too few roasty aroma. Not bad, but does not have much to offer.

I brought this home from Germany, I believe the photo is my bottle, purchased in Rothenberg. Dark brown. Lots of grain in the aroma and also in the flavor. Lightly sweet malt and more flavorful as it warms. A great session beer.
