Schroppfy (2350) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - NOV 27, 2010
Best before 4/16/2011. Perfect deep brown color with ruby bits, nice head formation and retention, nice palate - all pretty normal. The aroma is lightly sweet (caramel) and fresh with a flowery and slightly herbal character. Good, natural, but not particularly strong. The flavor was more than moderately sweet, verging on too sweet. There was a little spice (Thanksgiving stuff? Nutmeg?) and also a little wet cardboard (but the date was fine!). Good, but not great.

Bottled, tnx Ulf ! Red brass colour, thin tan head. Malty nose. Aroma is malt, some cane sugar and prunes and raisins. Flavour is about the same where the roasted sugar hits harder.

Sigmund (4187) - Tau, NORWAY - SEP 3, 2010
500 ml bottle, as Kloster Scheyern Kloster-Export Dunkel , from Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.4%. Mahogany coloured beer, moderate off-white to beige head. Moderate aroma of brown bread. The flavour is moderately malty with notes of caramel and brown bread, but it is not too sweet. Just enough hops to make this a fairly well-balanced and drinkable dunkel.

asheft (2264) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 29, 2010
[bottle] Roasted almond and bread crust aroma with a touch of cardboard. Clear brown under thin, white wisps. Sort of dry, roasted peanut flavour with definite bread crust and cardboard that finishes with pleasant hazelnut. Medium body, medium carbonation, nutty sort of sour and moderately bitter finish.
