jeverszeuge (125), Germany Sep 6, 2007 dark copper colour. small and vanishing head. roasty smell with coffee and liquorice. thin start with some roasted malts. mid comes with a bit hops, the finish is in a way spicy with roasty parts. long lasting which is quite funny because of the thin taste. with the 900 years experience that the brewery has this shoud go better.

Light sweet rye bread like finish. kappldav123 (973), Markkleeberg, Germany Apr 3, 2008 My bottle is brewed by Tucher. Looks good in the glass, fine foam. Starts very mild, almost vapid. Very drinkable, but could be a little bit drier. An average dunkel! Jukkabro (2350), Tampere, Finland Mar 5, 2008 Dark amber colored with medium sized yellow head. Rich chocolaty aroma with sweetness and mild hops, fine but rather one dimensional aroma. Thin to medium bodied, slightly watery palate. Flavor is also chocolaty and nutty with more hops, somehow round aftertaste with slightly bitter hops and slight nuts.
