Zeer slechte smaak, gewoonweg niet te drinken. Gewoonweg niet aan te raden.

This is technically cider, because it’s made from apples. It doesn’t really taste like cider, it tastes like mildly carbonated (cheap) chardonnay. I can drink almost anything and I don’t think I can finish this. I’m giving it a 10 overall because it’s alcohol which means it passes my most important test. Bottom line: super disappointing.

Poured from a can. Clear light yellow color, small short lived white head. Pungent grape and apple aroma. Medium body with a strong cheese favor with a light Apple undertone and a lingering cheese finish.

12oz can pours a clear smokey gold with zero head. Nose has a lot of wood shavings and tons of buttery oak, bad butterscotch candies, some rotting fruit. Flavor is butterscotch, lemon juice and super buttery oak. Buttery finish. Wow, not good.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can. Pours a very light gold with a white head that disappears quickly. Nose is smoke, apple peel, vanilla, and leaves. Huge amounts of vanilla, butter, and oak on the tongue; apple kicks in after, but it’s definitely out of balance. This is almost as if it was a hot buttered cider. Finish is oily, long, and buttery. The butter is so dominant that it’s hard to taste anything else. Not very good.

A little fuller on the palate than the dry hopped or ginger versions. The oak is there and adds a touch of complexity, but is pretty weak. Dry and fairly refreshing.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can (6.5%) from LifeSource. Light golden in color. Nose is lightly of apples. Nose seems boozy. Some spiciness and a hint of wood as well. Strong wood notes. A bit of tart apple as well. I like wood aged brew and ciders, but I think this one may be too woody. Not really scotch tasting. This does have some boozy characteristics, which is odd considering it’s abv. Pretty complex, with a lot of stuff going on, just sort of muddled.
