Fermented and finished on 100% NW oak this cider has a scotch taste complemented by a very smooth and lingering finish.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours pale gold with no head. Aroma is a rather smoky thing. Light sweet apple behind the smoke. Med body, almost. Flavor is mildly tart apple, with smoke, and some wood astringency. It finishes more smoky than otherwise. Must have been old single malt barrels. Tho how that could relate to NW oak?

Very hard for me to drink, because I’m not big on whiskey and this has very strong whiskey aroma and taste. Lots of vanilla and of course apple. Pretty dry, not bad, but man its strong whiskey notes.

Canned. Clear light gold color with no head. Cinnamon, smoke, vanilla, golden delicious apple aromas. Medium bodied with soft co2. Lightly sweet to off dry flavors of golden delicious apple, spicy cinnamon, wood char, vanilla____lightly bittersweet finish----good.

12 ounce can from Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville, opened 5/29/14. Pours a hazy pale golden color with a thin fizzy white head. Poor head retention. Aroma of sweet apples, wood, mild vanilla, mild tannins. The taste is oak, vanilla, sweet apples, mildly tart finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, decent balance. Pretty decent cider.

Drank from can so no info on appearance. Aroma - apple and a touch of oak/vanilla. Taste - starts with moderately tart apple, then finishes vanillay sweet. Finish is short. Interesting but too much oak character for me. tastes like drinking an over-oaked california chardonnay.

Can: Apple, dandelion, and pronounced oak nose, buttery on the edges. Clear yellow, still. Pear and apple, dandelion flavor. Not a lot of oak on the palate, but not lacking in complexity. A truly excellent cider. I’m really liking what I’ve seen from this cidery.

Much lighter in color than the regular cider... Light oakiness reminds more of "oak" planks in woodworking than vanilla or butterscotch from barrel aging... Not getting anything "Scotch" related... a light buttery apple essence.. some diacetyl is present but not as high as their standard hard cider.

Can. Pale yellow with lots of fine carbonation. Over ripe apples, caramel, vanilla and oak. Taste is a blend of sweet, tart and dry, all balanced and not too strong. Body is light and fizzy. Decent cider, but it seemed like the sweet onset took away from some of the oakiness.

12oz can pours a clear golden with no head. Boozy sweet vanilla oak aroma, sweet apples. Sweet apples with slight chemical alcohol. The oak aging doesn’t do this any favors.

12oz can. Pours a straw yellow color with a fizzy white head that leaves thin bubbly lacing. Smells of sweet apples, oak, cloves, and cinnamon. Tastes of the same things in the smell with slight smoky and scotch flavor in the back end also. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with good carbonation. This was exactly as described. Very good for an oak aged cider. I thought the apples used might be over ripe though. Would like to have this on tap somewhere.
