Bottle from a Getränkemarkt in Bamberg. Malty smell with some caramel and toasted rye bread. Similar taste, malty with caramel but not overly sweet. Nice and drinkable.

Tapped at Brauhaus Schinner in Bayreuth. Appears a bit foamy light-brown dunkel with high white thick foam. Aroma full of malts and caramel, but the taste is rather thin and there are not so much of caramel and malts at the end. Drinkable thing from the old recipe of a classic Frankonisch brewerie in Bavaria.

Dark amber coloured beer with a coffe-creme like head. earthy aromas with malt, coffee and some sweet chocolate. But there’s always sth vulgar, almost like dung. Dry finish, thin body, nothing special.

Bottle, danke Günther. Clear dark chestnut brown, offwhite lace. Light roast aroma. Chewy fruity roast base, broad caramel and berry notes, good roast and hop bitterness to balance. Moreish, quite drinkable.
