Bottled. Amber coloured. Light foggy. Dense beige head. Sweetness and light ripe fruits in the nose. Some light caramel. Quite bland. Flavour as well on the light and bland side. Alcohol and ripe fruits are the most evident notes I get. Medium bodied. Has distinct alcoholnotes and alcoholwarmth in the end.

dark color, less head very malty. Lighter body than other doppelbocks, lively carbonation keeps this from being overly sticky,..doughy and fruity. It smells of whole-grain bread,..very plesant one.

Bottle. Clear amber colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of malt and little caramel. Also sweet malty flavour, a nice doppelbock but nothing overwelming.

MoritzF (8562) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 19, 2006
(swing top bottle, with many thanks to EithCubes) Clear, dark amber colour with a big and slowly lacing beige foam. Sweet malty aroma with a soft roasted caramel note, liquorice and shades of dried red berries. Sweet flavour, rich malty taste with slightly roasted and fruity aspects; medium bodied with smooth mouthfeel; sweet malty and slightly bitter finish with a good length and well-integrated, warming notes of alcohol. Well-rounded and quaffable Doppelbock.
