Bottle, 5.2%. Citric, lagery aroma. Clear golden colour. Stable white head. The flavour is mildly malty with some sewery notes. Slightly rough hoppiness in the finish. A mediocre pale lager.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 KyotoLefty (4725) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 20, 2008
Bottle in Vienna, 2006.
Slightly darkish golden color. Good, fine head. Very malty aroma, a touch sweet, with cookies. Good hop flavor, with fine malt as well. Very evenly balanced, though good hops. Slight cardboard taste. Finish is hoppy. Good balance and nice taste. Not very special or interesting, but a good drinking beer.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 heavy (1956) - Split, CROATIA - JAN 7, 2008
06/01 0.5 l bottle from a Merkur in Graz. Poured pale yellow body with smaller white head. Not really strong aroma of some flowery malts, with somewhat sourish touch. Flavor sourish probably from the hops and sweetish malty, let’s say pleasant but very light bodied. Finish is short, reflecting the sweetness of the flavor. Not so bad but far too light.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Marko (3612) - Split, CROATIA - JAN 7, 2008
0.5l courtesy of and shared with heavy who brought it from Austria (thanks!) Poured a pale yellow-golden colour, small creamy white head that went away fast, lazy carbonation. The nose turned out to be quite weak, just some weak and unimpressive notes of malt and honey showed themselves. The taste isn’t any stronger... some weak weak sweet maltiness, which was supposed to be balanced by some herbal hopiness near the end, which turned out to be flat and unimpressive, if quite noticable and somewhat lasting... the two tastes don’t complement each other all that well. Just a touch eggy. Ok I guess, but bland. Shame.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Geiserich (2559) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - AUG 6, 2006
Grainy aroma, golden color. First very grainy flavor, then sweetness and a strange flavor of lemonade. Salty and sourly in the end and a light bitter, dry finish. Unbalanced and unpleasant grainy.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 ogivlado (4987) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 9, 2005

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Pilsener golden with a small, white head. Fresh hoppy - but slightly metallic - nose. Nice malty body with solid hops. Light bitter finish. A decent Pilsener. 190705
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 marcusm (55) - Remich, LUXEMBOURG - MAY 19, 2004
This is a golden Pilsner style beer, the aroma is of Saaz hops, the head does not last too long, but is gently kept in place by the carbonation. The flavour is of a clean, slightly sticky Pilsener, with the characteristic Austian hop style. The flavour lasts quite well, it has a slight mid flavour of oats(of all things!) but pulls through to a pleasant selzerish malty finish.
Ideal for the sultry summer days we are having here in Luxembourg. (source was Schladming, Austria a couple of months ago, so no local supplier)
