Bottle picked up at base camp pivni galerie in Prague. Dull shade of pale amber with a very short-lived head for a weizen; aroma of sea breeze and musk perfume; somewhat sudsy mouthfeel; Simple sweetness hinting at vanilla and not really going anywhere

Bottle (and with a much, much more attractive design than the can listed here) on top of Graz’s Schloßberg back in mid-May 2011. Cloudy golden-orange pour with a creamy white head. Heavy wheat and lighter citrus and phenolics. Rich and malty. Taste is vanilla, mineral water, yeast slime, lemon. Spritzy with CO2 but incredibly soft. Doesn’t get much better than this beer in this location.

500ml can. Pours a cloudy unfiltered apple juice colour, darker than the usual weisse with a white head. Aroma of banana, spice, honey, malt. Taste is light banana, citrus, malt, cinnamon, with a spicy burn in the citrusy slightly metallic finish.

Canned (500ml). -from Zielpunkt Graz. Hazy dark golden coloured, creamy white head, wheaty banana nose. Typical fruity (orange, banana), light acidic and a bit too watery. Notes of cloves and bubblegum with touch of spices in the finish. Drinkable weizen. 4.8%

19/02 0.5 l can Doggythedog brought from Graz, thanks for sharing! It poured murky golden to orange body with bigger head. Some weaker estery aroma like orange. Also a bit salty. Flavor was disappointing, some wheat characteristics, but very thin bodied, so much it’s almost tasteless. Some banana shows up in its watery and little bit sweet finish. Tasteless beer, one of the worst Hefeweizens I had. No, it’s not subtle, it’s bland.

Canned, 4.8%, brewed under the licence of Schladminger in a Brau Union brewery. Purchased somewhere in/near Graz, shared with heavy. Murky darker ochre colour, huge thick white head that went away at a medium pace. Chewed up bubblegum in the nose, some cloves. The taste is soft, bubblegum again, sweetish and pleasant but nothing special. Light whipped cream. Very light banana, a bit dryish. A run of the mill weizen.

Cannded (Licence from Schladminger, brewed in one of these Brau AG breweries)
Aroma is light sweet, notes of bubble gum and cloves. Flavor is sweetish, notes of wheat and somewhat spicy. Not very much substance. Boring and a bit thin. Light dry finish.
