3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Holy crap ... I gotta get some of this for my dad, the Scotch drinker. This carries a bountiful nose of Celtic whiskey that reminds me of home. It drinks with a full-on Scotch flavor, riding high on an otherwise light, orange-amber body. If you like Scotch and beer, you will love this combination. (#4931, 1/22/2013)

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From Savor NYC 2013. This beer reeked of scotch...cheap scotch. The aroma was peat smoked malts, booze. The appearance was red/brown, off-white head. The flavor was like the aroma, like Johnnie Walker Red poured into a beer. The finish was boozy. Not good, in my opinion.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle, shared by phaleslu. Totally hazy golden amber color. Nice white head, some lace. Bigger body. Lighter carbonation. Light chewiness to the body. Definitely peaty. Light to moderate amount of smoke. Light caramel malt. Some vegetable and smoke. Sweeter taste. Interesting, big, but pretty intense stuff

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle via local STL trade. Pours a hazy old gold color with a finger of foamy eggshell white head. Hoo boy. The aroma is all Scotch barrel; peat and oak, with some dough and earthiness. Flavor is equally Scotchy but has more balance to the oak and peat, with sweet dough, dry grains, and dried fruit. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a peaty mouthfeel. Really unusual. The base beer must be fairly weak, as it vanishes when compared to the barrel. But I like Scotch.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours clear golden with minimal off white head. Smokey peat aroma dominating most. Sweet pale malts are covered in Smokey scotch notes with a light fruitiness. Very solid stupid smooth and peat scotch centric.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one poured a dark abmer color with a small off white head. Aroma was very smokey and peeaty, lots of scotch, really not much else to be honest. Flavor was similar, almost all schotch, with light toast and caramle sweetness in the background. A bit one dimensional but different and unique.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 shared at Craft Ale House courtesy of a PUBíR acolyte. Poured hazy gold with fizzy white head. Nose was pale malt, scotch, oak. Tasted of noble hops, pale malt, peaty scotch and oak. Overall got real close to the elusive Scotch/Beer boundary, and I found this one to be enjoyable.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours very hazy orange with a foamy/frothy off-white head. Aroma is peat and wood. Kind of opens up the nasal passage. Cause thereís alcohol there too. Full bodied. Flavor is peat smoke, wood and arguably something fruity. This is not the overwhelming Brewdog approach, but it is really, firmly smoked. Coats the mouth. Finishes that way, but it seems fair to say that the level of smoke is strong, but not annoying like a Paradox. Oh, did I type that? How gauche.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours light orange with a white head that fades to a ring. Aroma is scotch, peat, and golden malt. Taste is straight scotch with bitter fruit notes. If youíre a scotch fan, youíll love this. Iím not a scotch fan, but I can appreciate it for the style. Unfortunately, I canít finish it. Drain pour.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazed glowing orange.Good head, some nice lacing.
Aroma is peaty with some vanilla tones, slightly bready/yeasty.Some spice.
Taste is very strong barrel aged bourbony ,peaty, some fruit citrus but is overpowered by the barrel.I can see this tasting better in a year or two as suggested. Strong peaty/bourbon taste that overpowers. Strong boozie finish. Not really into this at this point.
