COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís based off of the classic English Ordinary Bitter style, but with an American influence. Lighter in body and color than traditional Pales or Bitters, and less overall IBU, Ordinaries are the quintessential British session ale. ASA has a light biscuit malt body and balanced bitterness, with most of the hop focus on flavor and aroma. Amarillo is the only hop used in this ale and itís citrus character stands out. Dry hopped with 1lb per bbl to give the ale a fantastic boutique. ABV: 4.4%, IBU: 25, Malts: 2 row Pale, Cara-Pils, Special Roast, Hop: Amarillo, Yeast: American Ale, Water: STL.

Sampled at Repeal. Should have had this earlier at the fest. Golden pourcwith just a bit of foam. Aroma and flavor of citrus and light bread. Uncomplicated and pleasant. What one hopes for in a sessionable beer.

Draft at the Bottleworks. Pours a barely hazed gold with a centimeter of white head that leaves a lasting film. Aroma of floral and citrusy hops, tangerine citrus, bready malts, cereal, and faint tropical fruits. Flavor of citrusy hops, tangerine, dry grains, crackery malts, light herbs, and straw. Light-bodied with medium, crisp carbonation and a clean mouthfeel. Nice session ale!

Pours clear golden / yellow with a small white head. The aroma has lots of tangerine / spicy / piny hoppiness as well as a bit of dry maltiness. Itís hop forward (lots of tangerine), but nothing is abrasive or over the top. Really pleasant and inviting. Medium light crisp body with some semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts out with dry cracker malt with a hint of woodiness. There is a definite hop presence with the aspects on the aroma with the spiciness really standing out. The finish really shows off the hops well and is super clean tasting. This beer is fantastic. Recent our fair city has had more session ales popping up - please keep this going. Great flavor in lower alcohol beers is a wonderful thing.
