3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz. Bottle: Aroma of hops, pine, tropical fruit, grass, hop oil, resin, tangerine, and wood. Very nice aroma! Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, rocky, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of malt, slight caramel, hops, pine, resin, slight tropical fruit, light honey, light toasting, slight honey, and a hint of alcohol. Medium to full body. Oily, slick, then lightly dry and lightly sticky texture. Average carbonation. Medium sweet, medium bitter, hops, caramel, malt, pine, slight honey, and slight tropical fruit finish is dry and a little sticky. 8%ABV is very well hidden throughout.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from a trade with phaleslu. Bottled on 6/8/10. Pours clear orange copper color with off white head. Grapefruit rind aroma. Bitter grapefruit flavor with some sweet caramel. Chewy body with moderate carbonation. Seems more like a DIPA to me. Thanks Peter.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz. bottle. Bottled on 5/20/10, sampled 6/22. Served in a Duvel tulip. Poured an orange/gold with two fingers of white head. Big citrus hop aroma with some malt sweetness that comes through as it warms. Pretty dank aroma. Solid malty base without being too sweet. Medium bodied. Pretty aggressive hop bitterness, green without being vegetal. Fairly drinkable for the ABV and hoppiness. If you are a hop fan, get some of this while it is still around.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle, bottled on 5/19/2010. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a hazy copper color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good for this brew. Aroma is citrusy (grapefruit) and pine hops, along with some caramel malt. The taste is similar to the aroma, but thereís the additon of some apricot. Also, this is a pretty balanced brew with the hoppy and malty flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit slick with moderate carbonation. Drinkability is pretty good. Too bad I only bought one bottle of this, because it would be pretty easy to drink more than one of these. IMO, Schlafly is one of the more under-rated breweries out there, and I think this is a good brew. If they ever started distributing to Ohio, I would buy their brews all the time.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Midtown. Pours orange amber with a one finger off white head. Aroma of perfumy and citrus hops. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nice balanced flavor of honey, caramel malts, grapefruit rind, and tropical fruits. Semi dry and hoppy finish, with alcohol well hidden for the strength. Very well done IPA I must say.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from barleyPops. Thanks Dad! Bottled on 5/17 so itís about as fresh as it gets. Dark orange pour with a big white head. I get floral hoppy aromas with a hint of pine. Balanced flavor with plenty of bitter hops and caramel malt to back it up. Creamy mouthfeel and very smooth finish. Really nice, drinkable IPA!

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Clear amber body with orange highlights. Frothy, off-white head. Strong hop aroma of pine, citrus and grapefruit. Notes of caramel and earthiness. The flavor is lightly to moderately bitter and lightly to moderately sweet. It finishes moderately to heavily bitter and lightly sweet. Medium body, thick texture and average carbonation. The alcohol comes through in the finish, but is more muted than youíd think it would be considering it is 8%. The aroma is in double IPA territory, but without much of a malt backbone. The caramel is more noticable in the taste, but is easily overwhelmed by the thick, chewy hops that leave a slight taste of earthy, dried plants and an impression that the beer is rough around the edges.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Alright I donít know if it was a weird hop variety or what, but this beer smelled like weed. It has a huge aroma up front, and some is bitter hop, but mostly it just smelled like POT! Weird, I know, and I promise I wasnít stoned when I had this, nor was there weed in the room. Anyway, the rest of the beer is pretty good IPA, full hop body and strong good finish. Try it just for uniqueness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Medium off-white head atop hazy amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, pineapple. Taste is moderately sweet, pine/grapefruit, some alcohol. Resiny medium-full body. Really should be considered an IIPA.
