4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Poured a darker orange color with a two finger head, that left lacing on the glass as it went. Aroma was spruce, pines, and basement aromas. Flavor was grapefruit, citrus, and a piney hop explosion. Flavor expolded on the palate. Very hoppy finish. Sticky and oily mouthfeel. Way above average beer.

Bought at the Cork & Barrel, Lawrence,KS .. . Pours a deep hazy cowardly chicken .. . light foam, light lacing .. . consists of mostly fresh leaves, pine, and a touch of citrus- pretty one dimensional but very smooth, i enjoyed the bottle .. . I’ll bet you’re wondering why I asked you here in the middle of the night. I have a favor to ask of you, Steve, something that will be our little secret. You up to it? -...I don’t want that you idiot!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft at brewpub. Pour is clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is really really impressive. Loaded with huge, fresh, citrus hops. Not sure of the exact hop but wow does it smell good. Also a faint caramel malt note. Flavor is also loaded with huge citrus hop character. So rich and clean. This is easily the best Schlafly beer I have ever had. Just how I like IPA’s

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy color somewhere between straw and copper. Huge fluffy white head with huge bubbles. Strong hop aroma. Nice balance of malt and bitterness. Wait around long enough and get some hop flavor after the bitterness fades. Best Schlafly I have had.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Slightly cloudy deep amber pour with a moderate white head. Huge citrus, hops, and some pine. Flavor is exceptionally smooth, dry, hoppy, and bitter. Excellent brew.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of pineapple and grapefruit rind with hints of tangerine and grassy hops. The flavor does not disappoint; the hops are bitter, grassy, spicy, and citrusy seemingly all at the same time. This all makes for a well balanced, yet very satisfying beer. I’ve only had a few offerings from Schlafly yet they seem to always surprise me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle... Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is a lupulin-laden montage of grapefruit, tangerine, guava, pineapple and mango with underpinnings of biscuit and resin. Medium to full-bodied with modest carbonation. Toffee and juicy, citrusy, resiny hops are the foundation of the medium bitter flavor. Finishes crisp and bittersweet… and the bitterness lingers on and on. Bottle courtesy of phaleslu!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle via a trade (marked as packaged on 05/03/11). Pours with a murky yellow-orange body and a large, just off-white head with decent lace and good staying power. Aromas of pine, tropical fruits, peach, passion fruit and iced tea. Light lemon zest, a bit of a toasty malt profile. Nice. Flavors of hops, peach, stone fruit, citrus zest, light pine. Medium bitterness with an overall bitter balance. Malt profile is bready and crackery. A bit of an alcohol character. Medium to slightly fuller body, medium to medium-high carbonation. Dry. Well made.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the brewer - Pours a hazy golden color with smallish white head. Aroma has a fair amount of citrusy hops and a touch of slightly toasty malt. Flavor is fairly hoppy, with citrusy, lemony hops, with a touch of malt backbone and caramel notes. Finish is fairly bitter but smooth and not overpowering. This is a decent IPA overall, but in a world of craft beer that is flooded with good IPAs, this is just in the middle of the pack somewhere. I’ve definitely had worse, but I’ve had better as well.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
thanks to Sean for this 12oz bottle... bright medium gold, nice white head, good retention and lacing... nose is a little light and subtle but really nice, reminds me of a Columbus IPA, nice dank notes throughout... the taste is mostly dank, a bit too dank with a touch of alcohol, but really good, one of their best beers
