COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Exploding with hop flavor and aroma, this citrus/piney/floral ale has enough of a malt backbone to stand up to the intense bitterness.

On tap a very pretty mostly clear amber with medium white head. Taste is floral pine with light hops though out. Good mouthfeel, smooth and carries the alcohol very well. Complex in that it seems both sturdy and delicate in layers. Overall very nice.

Tap at Max’s. Pours clear amber with creamy white head. Aroma is bready malts, light citrus, some floral notes, and light pineapple. Flavor is bready malts, light dank, floral hops, and some tropical fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

12 oz. Clear golden-amber color with a spongy head. Big nose of flowery spicy honey, resiny dried herb and grapefruit. Taste is a nice blend of resin, dank herb, earthy honeycomb, pineapple, mint and mango. Light-medium body has a great balance with a big dry finish and a medium carbonation that doesn’t become annoying. This is a very straightforward American hop blast that is dangerously drinkable and by far the best I’ve had amongst two dozen from Schlafly.

Pours a hazy amber color. One finger diminishing head with good lacing. Aroma is pine resin and hops with faint sweet citrus. Taste is bitter pine hops with citrus sweet back end. Smooth on the palate

More aggressive and less citrusy than the TIPA. Pours a golden orange haze. Smells sweet and sticky. Nice malt, orange, and grapefruit flavors up front with great hops on the back end. You taste the hops, but they don’t linger on the tongue. One of my favorite Spring IPAs.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with tiny floaties, barely any head with a lot of lacing. The aroma is citrus, pine, flowers, a hint of honey, and a little malt syrup. The taste adds bitter notes but, very drinkable. The citrus and resiny hops really come out on the finish. The mouthfeel is very smooth, clean, and drinkable. Pretty light on the carb. A very good all-around American ipa with perfect hops - malt balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Another solid offering. Glad they left AB. This has notes of TIPA. No question they are related in some fashion

Location: 12 oz bottle from Hoboken Vine, 3/13/14

Aroma: The aroma is floral and pine hops, some citrus/grapefruit notes, and some malty notes
Appearance: It pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head and pretty good lace
Flavor: It has crisp, floral hops, with some pine and grapefruit notes, light sweet, medium bitter
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a crisp, clean feel, and a dry, lengthy finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was pretty solid, but not quite as good as I had wanted it to be. Still, this is a very good IPA, and a very good beer.

Bottled February 11, 2014.
Appearance: The body is amber/orange with haze and sediment in suspension. The head is tall and dense with great retention and an off-white hue.
Aroma: The aroma has a slight marijuana aroma, reminds me of Simcoe as well. It has citrus tones, but I get that unique Simcoe experience.
Taste: The malt base is surprisingly present with a balancing sweetness and hints of biscuit and caramel. The bitterness and hop flavor aren’t nearly as prominent as the aroma indicates. Bitterness is actually low and the flavor is mild, some Simcoe noted. The finish lingers a little floral, a little like tea.
Palate: Full-bodied, light carbonation.
Overall: This is a decent IPA, not bold enough for me to think of it as a typical American IPA though. This is too malty for me to think of it as a typical American IPA by today’s standards. Decent beer though, but pricey. I wouldn’t buy it again.
