COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Exploding with hop flavor and aroma, this citrus/piney/floral ale has enough of a malt backbone to stand up to the intense bitterness.

ben4321 (3847) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 13, 2014
Location: 12 oz bottle from Hoboken Vine, 3/13/14

Aroma: The aroma is floral and pine hops, some citrus/grapefruit notes, and some malty notes
Appearance: It pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head and pretty good lace
Flavor: It has crisp, floral hops, with some pine and grapefruit notes, light sweet, medium bitter
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a crisp, clean feel, and a dry, lengthy finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was pretty solid, but not quite as good as I had wanted it to be. Still, this is a very good IPA, and a very good beer.

keanex (1423) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - MAR 7, 2014
Bottled February 11, 2014.
Appearance: The body is amber/orange with haze and sediment in suspension. The head is tall and dense with great retention and an off-white hue.
Aroma: The aroma has a slight marijuana aroma, reminds me of Simcoe as well. It has citrus tones, but I get that unique Simcoe experience.
Taste: The malt base is surprisingly present with a balancing sweetness and hints of biscuit and caramel. The bitterness and hop flavor aren’t nearly as prominent as the aroma indicates. Bitterness is actually low and the flavor is mild, some Simcoe noted. The finish lingers a little floral, a little like tea.
Palate: Full-bodied, light carbonation.
Overall: This is a decent IPA, not bold enough for me to think of it as a typical American IPA though. This is too malty for me to think of it as a typical American IPA by today’s standards. Decent beer though, but pricey. I wouldn’t buy it again.

12oz bottle from Crossroads Spirits. Pours a hazy orange color with a finger of foamy off white head. Aroma of fresh citrus, pineapple, orange zest, and pine. Taste of grapefruit, citrus zest, pine needles, and caramel malt. This is a really solid IPA.

Poured from bottle to tulip glass. A hazy orange tinged amber. The aroma hits you right at the poor. Grapefruit, floral and strong. Taste is grapefruit at first turning to pine resin. Head was white and resided to sides of glass quickly. Nice body and a little oily. Bitter on the finish. Very nice.

Very nice. Clear copper with thick white head. Aroma is malty and lots of grapefruit. Taste follows nose. Goes great with red potatoes skillet fried with basil and rosemary.

This beer pours a hazy orange with a large off-white head, and the aroma blends citrus, pine, and resin hops. The taste is mildly bitter, slightly sweet, a touch umami, and a bit of butteryness, and the palate fuses a medium body, long finish, average carbonation, and a slightly texture.

FROM NOTES: July 16, ’12 Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tasting glass. A: The hop nose is not overwhelming, but adequately strong. A: Pours a clear yellow with mild fluffy white head. Recedes quickly with little lacing. T: Piney hop flavor that coats the tongue nicely. Not much bitterness in the after taste tho. Could be more complex, but solid nonetheless. P: Can definitely feel a little weight from the 7.2% ABV. Other than that, fairly light, but more of a session beer. O: A solid easy drinking ipa with a good sweetness to bitterness ratio. I wouldn’t mind knocking back a few of these.
