COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Exploding with hop flavor and aroma, this citrus/piney/floral ale has enough of a malt backbone to stand up to the intense bitterness.

Looks are deceiving! Do not judge this book by its cover. A golden amber coloring that packs a lot of flavor. Strong hops with a smooth finish.

12oz bottled March 27, 2013. Served at around 40-45F.

Pours hazy amber with nice little bits floating around, three finger white head that settles to a small cap and leaves good lacing behind.

Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, lemon, good bit of pine, a little floral, grassy, some bready and caramel malt. Good strength.

Flavor is grapefruit, lemon citrus, resinous hops, good bit of pine, grassy, some caramel malt backbone, moderate sweetness, moderate to good bitterness, mild to moderate alcohol.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a little oily, good carbonation.

Nice IPA, but not as good as the Tasmanian IPA!

Bottle. Pours amber orange with an off white head. Flowery hops, hints of citrus, grainy malts, and some light malty sweetness. Relatively well balanced. Not bad.

Poured from bottle into snifter, smells great...a little subtle but great. Hits pretty light and then builds into a crescendo of taste before tapering off. Well rounded for sure.

The aroma of this IPA is the best I’ve ever smelled. It has all the qualities of an IPA you’d want but it does have a little bit of bitterness that lingers after you’ve finished. Over all I liked it.

This is what an American Hop forward brew is supposed to taste like. Lots of Piney, citrus, sticky, grapefruit and other floral flavors. Mouth-feel just right, aftertaste nice also. Kind of like Hopslam only minus the honey and less malt. GOOD JOB Schlafly !!

Fresh bottle from Capone’s. Golden bodied with lots of foamy white head. Strong citrus orange aroma. A high yet not overwhelming delivery of bitterness. Very tasty and drinkable orange with some tangerine, mint, pine. Medium mouthful. Somewhat palate erasing.

Killer sample pour of beautiful honey gold. Nose is citrus and plenty of hops. Bitter and sharp. Flavor is all things good. Great citrus and plenty of grapefruit. Sharp and grassy. Nice medium body with very light lacing on the glass. Well done!
