3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from barleyPops. Thanks Dad! Bottled on 5/17 so itís about as fresh as it gets. Dark orange pour with a big white head. I get floral hoppy aromas with a hint of pine. Balanced flavor with plenty of bitter hops and caramel malt to back it up. Creamy mouthfeel and very smooth finish. Really nice, drinkable IPA!

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
FROM NOTES: July 16, í12
Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tasting glass.
A: The hop nose is not overwhelming, but adequately strong.
A: Pours a clear yellow with mild fluffy white head. Recedes quickly with little lacing.
T: Piney hop flavor that coats the tongue nicely. Not much bitterness in the after taste tho. Could be more complex, but solid nonetheless.
P: Can definitely feel a little weight from the 7.2% ABV. Other than that, fairly light, but more of a session beer.
O: A solid easy drinking ipa with a good sweetness to bitterness ratio. I wouldnít mind knocking back a few of these.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a golden clear color. Aroma of grapefruit, strong grapefruit. Wow. This has one if the strongest grapefruit smells I've had. There no pine, nothing if the more citrus variety. Grapefruit. And the taste is the same. I feel like I'm sucking a grapefruit. This doesn't have the balance I expected. I wouldn't suggest this one unless you love grapefruit.

I've had a lot of their beers. But I wasn't expecting this. Very nice ipa. Golden color. Grapefruit up front. Malty goodness. Fantastic.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
5/14/2011: Schlafly American India Pale Ale... Aroma: White grapefruit peel. Appearance: Cloudy dull golden color with a fluffy, off-white head. Flavor: A littlee toffee malt dominated by an extremely overly bitter grapefruit pithe hoppiness. Palate: Medium-light; lacking mouthfeel. Overall: Really disconnected and a poor flavor overall; I like bitterness, but this one was just raw, unbalanced, and lacking good flavor!
Draught sample (7.2% ABV) at Party Town in Florence, KY. Rating #230 for this beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had this paired with a slightly spicey chicken curry, which really smoothed over the bitterness of the beer I thought. Itís got huge citrusy/piney hop flavor but balanced well with the malty backbone of it. A fantastic IPA, chicken curry or not.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
I like this IPA a lot. It pours a very clear, gold/yellow with an average amount of carbonation. The aroma is sweet and citrus, and the flavor is really sweet, tangerine citrus up front, then you slide into the malt, and then this huge, strong, bitter grapefruit finish. The nose isnít a big component of the flavor, but thereís so much going on on the tongue, here, that itís not an issue. Iíll remember this one, and eventually have it again.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle: Pours bright yellow and gold with a nice thick white head, small CO2 bubbles and great lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine hops, good bready malt balance. Taste is sweet with a bit of salt and bitter to finish. Flavors of citrus, pine and malt make a well balanced, quaffable offering. Smooth and easy to drink.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Very solid ipa...subtle aromas, golden appearance, tastes of hops, citrus and a light floral. Overall this will be an ipa I frequent often.
