4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 wedgie9 (1362) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 25, 2010
Tasted from a 12oz bottle sent to me as an extra in a trade. "Bottle with Love on 07/20/2010". Pours a cloudy but bright orange-peach color with a thick and frothy white head that leaves an uneven thick blanket of lace. The nose is peach and apricot with citrus hops and a light aroma of bread malt. The fruitiness is very pleasant. The same apricot and peach are the dominant flavor along with the citrus hops and very light bread malt. Once again, the fruits are most important with everything else acting as backup. The body is medium with a sticky texture and a long bitter and fruity finish.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of hops, light citrus, grass, light grapefruit, crystal malt, and slight tangerine. Poured amber in color with a large, creamy, rocky, off-white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of hops, crystal malt, light grass, light sugar, and light bread. Medium body. Lightly tingly, then lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Crysta malt, hops, slight grass, and light citrus finish is lightly dry.

Poured a nice amber and golden color with a nice offwhite head. Very fluffy head that lasts. Nice looking brew. Smells great. Lots of hops on the nose, as well as some spruce notes. Taste is great, with classic pale ale malt flavors noted with lots of hop bitterness. Very nice tasting beer. The palate is medium body with ample carbonation. Overall a very nice example of the style with some nice hop notes on the finish
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Beerlando (3276) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 8, 2010
12 oz. bottle, packaged on 07/20/2010 and consumed 10/08/2010. Not as fresh as I’d like for this style, but should still be good. The body is a glowing, cloudy, deep orange-amber hue. A moderate, smooth head of beige foam is steadfast, settling in as a thin blanket that goes the duration. Dense and sudsy, a wash of foM leaves jagged, skinny flares and random spots of lacing on the glass. The nose is nicely hopped, giving notes of dried tangelo pith and bitter, dry grasses. Unexpected banana phenols give characteristics commonly associated with Hefeweizen, as the relatively dry, cereal malt base keeps things from being too sweet. Flavors are similarly structured, again showing semi-dry cereal and toasted bread malts, with a bitter, pithy, citrus hop counterpoint, with hints of grass and maybe a touch of resin. The palate comes through with a medium body, steady carbonation, and a mostly dry, biting finish. Good stuff. I bet it was damn good a week after it rolled off the line.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MmmcKay (841) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - OCT 6, 2010
Amber gold in color with a respectable foamy head. Pretty darn drinkable for a blatantly dry hopped pale ale. Has a solid amount of hops going for it. Interestingly balanced without too much sweet malt. This guy is mellow but hefty. Nice effort.

This poured a golden color out of the bottle with a creamy white head. Light grapefruit rind and sharp resin nose. Fresh hop flavors with resin, grapefruit juice, some apple sauce and even some pepper in the finish. Long hot finish and quite a tastey hoppy beer.

aroma is grainy pale malt then pine surfaces with some lemon. appearance is crystal golden perhaps ultra light haze, big carb, thin lingering head and good lacing. flavor is decent pine, strong pale malt backbone, present but at times thin, good balance but no hop slam despite name (’dry hopped’ APA)
