3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 gsmitty80 (1362) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 11, 2010
This has some great taste and hopping for an APA. Very bitter and stays on the palate, but that is not bad. Not watery at all. Had about 3 or 4 of these and got a pretty good buzz on.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 willblake (2587) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - MAY 10, 2010
20100510 12oz bottle from Honeygo, bottling date 04/07/2010. Clear honey amber color with medium sized but quickly fading beige head. Aroma is citrusy with orange and light grapefruit, as well as some white toast with apple jam. Has a sweetness to the aroma, like spring blossoms. Mouthfeel is completely dead-center middle of the road, which seems oddly comfortable for an APA. Very light sweetness up front, evenly distributed though large bubbled eff across the middle, and finishing with a tolerably astringent resinous and pithy bitterness that doesn’t linger much. Some late alcohol notes. Overall a plenty enjoyable session quaff, another in a long line of beers being brought into what is fast becoming an over-saturated market of non-local super hoppy pale ales. And while the novelty of each new tick is fun, and often delicious while fresh, the honeymoon is a short one and the beers too often languish, unpurchased on the shelves, changing into shadows of their former selves. Odd that this beer has gotten under my skin this way, but I feel a mood coming on....

Nice offering from a St. Louis mainstay that I’m just discovering. Very dry and hoppy, but not at all overwhelming. Subtle, nice and smooth.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 guzzler67 (1373) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - APR 25, 2010
Bright amber appearance with an average size, off white head and very good lacing. Resinous, piney hop aroma, with a hint of spice in the background. Taste displays a lot of the same sprucey, bitter hoppiness and a respectable malt backbone with restrained sweetness. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering finish.

S: Aromas of caramel, citrus, and dank hops.
T: Fairly tasty. Nice sweet malt backbone. Big blast of grapefruit and fresh green herbal hops.
M: Medium in body, smooth, nice carbonation.
