COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Assertive hop flavor joins the pine/citrus aroma characteristic of American hops to balance the full body provided by North American malts. After fermentation, the beer circulates through a bed of Cascade and Chinook hops, boosting the distinctive hop aroma of this satisfying ale.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper body under a frothy one finger off white head that left some sparce lacing. Then nose is lightly hoppy with perfume like and floral hops over a slightly sweet caramel malt base. The flavor is lightly bitter with a little too much crystal malt sweetness under the hops. The sweetness from the malt dominates the hops quite a bit, and really lingers on well into the finish. Light to medium bodied with some light stickiness and fizzy prickly carbonation. Meh, not in my wheelhouse for the style. Too much residual sweetness.

Hoppy without too much else. Good tasty beer. Bitering hops give off a grassy note and flavor.

Bottle at Brewers. Burnt orange with somewhat disappointing aroma (old bottle). Some breadiness mixed with light bitter citrus flavor. Aftertaste is a little bitter and dry. A nice, but forgettable offering.

Pours crystal clear pale orange with a large white head. Smells of citrus and pine. Taste is bitter and has a malty backbone. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Schlafly Dry Hopped APA finishes with a soft bitterness.
