Bottle. Pour is dark gold to amber with a nice off-white head, good retention/lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, grass. Taste is caramel/biscuit malt with lots of grapefruit and grassy hops. Palate is clean, slightly creamy, bitter finish. Quite nice.

Tasted on-tap 9/17/2011 at the Hop in the City Festival in a clean half-pint taster glass. Hello, old friend. This delicious Schlafly brew has been around for awhile, marketed under various names. It’s in bars, grocery stores, and a mainstay at quality kegger parties, all for a reason. Standard Pale Ale grainbill with just the right amount of caramelized and roasted barley. Generous use of Cascade flavor and aroma hops. Nice, fizzy, copper-colored, grapefruity, drinkable beer. Nothing new here, I suppose, but just plain good. Lots of microbreweries make ‘em too, but this is a hometown favorite.

Pours a clear orange color with a large white head. Aroma of slight grapefuit and malts. Flavor of grassy hops, grapes, and some malts. Decently balanced. Pretty good beer.

4oz draft from Hangar 9 from a flight. Pours a clear light orange. Aroma of piney hops. Taste is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Taste of sweet citrus hops. Light bodied with medium carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, very good. My favorite of the Schlafly flagships.

This was a pleasant surprise. Very well balanced hop flavors with minimal harsh bitterness and just enough malt to stand up to the hopping. I don’t know if Nelson Sauvin hops were used but I detected a certain grapiness that I associate with that hop. The rest of the flavors were nice soft accents to that fruitiness. Great sessionable beer.

Wonderful apa. Dynamic in your face hops, but well balanced. Works for almost any beer drinking occasion.

Golden orange in color. Mild noble hop type aroma, nothing special for being "dry-hopped." Round, smooth pine-citrus hop bitterness with a present, yet mild malt backbone. Easy drink, refrreshing.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2011 great beer. hoppy,golden color not amber but amber body and sweetness perfectly balanced with the hops. Floral and mild herbal.Tastes and smells very fresh maybe cuz its brand new to the store(s) ive found and just came in.Very solid beer,loved it.Fresh resinoy grassy hop bitterness.Genericly written here but no generic taste.Theres a bit of a sour tone to this also.Great drinkability nice medium malt sweetness and big hoppiness ,short sharp bittering finish very clean.
