Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Assertive hop flavor joins the pine/citrus aroma characteristic of American hops to balance the full body provided by North American malts. After fermentation, the beer circulates through a bed of Cascade and Chinook hops, boosting the distinctive hop aroma of this satisfying ale.

Pours a dark gold with a lingering head. Smells of a citrusy aroma, and tastes the same. A bit grainy, but not enough to turn one away. Good, but for having "hopped" in the name, I’d expect this to be even hoppier.

Bright piney hopped citrus aroma. Golden yellow with a right foamy head of good duration. Flavor is bitter and haylike. Light wheat. Slightly creamy and mildly yeasty. Slight saltiness. Flavors improve as you drink on and become richer and more complex. Palate is fairly weak and flat. Bitter duration. Good initial aroma and appearance but the flavor and palate are weaker although not bad. Improves towards the end of the first bottle.

Pours a golden/orange color with nice full white head. Aroma is balanced with malty sweetness and hops on the piney side. The palate is on the hoppy side with the background of malt. The finish combines the two but it feels like they are fighting to be the front runner on the palate.

Bottled on 9/27/07: Pours a transparent amber bronze with a thin-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of lightly sweet crystal malt and a big orange grapefruity hop presence. Body starts with a nice pale malty sweetness balanced with crisp, resiny citrus hops toward a bittersweet drier clean finish. Very drinkable without lacking in flavor or body. A good APA.

10-23-07 bottle. Doughy hop aroma. Amber color with nice head. Not a very clean finish - it has this dirty cotton gauze aftertaste. Reminds me of a pilsner with some hops mixed in at the last minute.

6-21-2005 bottling date. The label calls this Expedition Reserve. Pours a light amber color with a small head.Has a mostly grainy, yeasty lagar type smell. Light to medium bodied with a frothy mouthfeel. A straight forward taste is of malted grains and mildly bitter. Finishes clean and dry on the palate. Not a sweet beer, nor sour, it reminds me of liquid Grapenuts. Pretty nice. July 2005

Slightly hazed amber pour with a nice sized white head. Slightly earthy, musty orange like hop aroma. Nice mild, earthy hop flavor as well, with similar malt qualities to the Schlafly pilsner. Orange noticed in the taste as well. A nice pale ale overall.

Bottle from Sean, thanks. Pours out an orange color with a white head on it. Smells like hops and some sweet malty flavors. Taste is powerful and slightly bitter, yet it was still really good. This tastes alot like an IPA. Not alot to say about it, its just a good decent session beer. Thanks Sean.

Poured a hazy copper color with a white head. Floral and citrus hop aroma. Some caramel underneath. The flavor is a mix of citrus hop and amlt with both on the mild side. No real bitterness in the finish. Light bodied.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with MrRain. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a massive white head. The lacing was left in rows on the glass; as I took a sip, a ring of foam was left on the glass. After three or four sips, there were the same number of rings left on the glass. Fresh citrus hop aroma. The flavor is mostly fresh citrus hops with a bit of caramel malt. Some lingering hops bitterness at the finish. An interesting rendition of the style.
