Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Assertive hop flavor joins the pine/citrus aroma characteristic of American hops to balance the full body provided by North American malts. After fermentation, the beer circulates through a bed of Cascade and Chinook hops, boosting the distinctive hop aroma of this satisfying ale.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; light though by APA standards. A transparent gold with foamy white hear that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of balanced pine and citrus hops. Tastes lie it smells, but less robust. Nice and smooth on the palate. An easy drinker, but otherwise forgettable.

Draught at the Schlafly Taproom, St Louis, MO.
Slightly cloudy golden amber colour with a tiny white head. Fresh fruity hoppy aroma with sweetness and notes of bitterness. The flavour is bitterish fruity hops, sweetness and some maltiness. Quite balanced. Tasty.

On tap @ Blind Tiger House. This is a clear deep golden one with a small islandy and sidesticking white head. Smells fruity, fresh, quite inviting with peachy sweetness and some green pine cones. It’s tasty to drink also, a bit thin oily on the mouthfeel and the carbonation is about average. Fresh summery flavors. A good amount of peachy hoppiness with floral and soft earthy tones. Not a huge flavor bomb perhaps (at least not compared to the beer I just had) but a really lightdrinkable and tasty summer beer. No problems drinking this again. 16.06.2013

In a chilled mug. Pours a deep gold with a substantial, thick white head. Aroma of....well, you guessed it...hops. Nothing piney or floral or citrus with this one. Tastes much like it smells...crisp at the front and bitter on the finish. Ok.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a generous, frothy head. Little or no aroma, which is surprising for a dry-hopped pale ale. Taste is fresh and lightly hoppy with just the right amount of bitterness, which politely leaves only a trace on the palate once it makes its presence known. A very drinkable and refreshing APA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2013 (765-070813)

Had at the Tap Room in St. Louis in the summer of 2011 or thereabouts. Decent beer. Didn't get good notes for this.

Draught at the tap room. Excellent. Great citrus nodes and clean taste. Was really surprised as in the past haven’t enjoyed dry hopped beers. A highlight.

My Bottom Line:
Orange-scented tea leaves and bitter, spicy resins float around lax caramel in this drinkable but rather generic American Pale Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the hazy golden.
-Malts also sculpt biscuity allusions.
-Hops also develop minty and citrusy angles.
-This one didn’t taste like it was in the best shape when we got it...

Bottle. Slightly hazy golden to orange with a white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma, citric and weedy, with a bit of malt. Flavor has a bit of sweetish maltiness, nice citric hops and a pleasant bitter finish, somewhat piney. Medium-bodied. A good APA.
