Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Assertive hop flavor joins the pine/citrus aroma characteristic of American hops to balance the full body provided by North American malts. After fermentation, the beer circulates through a bed of Cascade and Chinook hops, boosting the distinctive hop aroma of this satisfying ale.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of floral hoppy notes with light citrus undertones. Taste is also dominated by some citrus and floral hoppy notes with a dry malt backbone. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Good beer but not as hoppy as I was expecting.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Not the aroma bomb you expect, but very nice and surprisingly balanced. Sweet with very little bitterness at the end of the taste.

Aroma: caramel, bread, earthy. Appearance: golden, clear, sparkling, minimal head. Taste: medium bitterness, light sweetness, slight floral taste (very mild hint of floral.) Palate: medium body, thin feel, fizzy, abrupt finish. Overall: I’ve been called crazy for this, but this beer tastes like a very mild Two Hearted Ale, because of the malts and the floral quality. Obviously, I’d choose Two Hearted over this any day, but this beer is pretty good!

On tap at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn NY on 3rd July 2013. Clear amber with off-white foam diminishing to film with part lacing. Hoppy aroma. Grassy, grapefruity hoppiness abounds, and a discreet, but lush, savoury note appears in-mouth. A satisfyingly bitter finish. Lightly zingy mouthfeel with medium body.

(Rating #5180)

Drank from 12 oz. bottle. Tastes like a full IPA just not as bitter. The malts make this beer have a sweeter effect on the tongue. Not bad

The beer pours a hell of a lot of head, it has a amber straw color to it, loads of off white head and great lacing on the glass (after 5 minutes). The smell comes off like citrahops, I instantly got lemon grass, mild grapfruit, and mild malt scents. The taste is very hoppy up from and finishes with a grapefruit/piney flavor. The mouthfeel is okay with resin flavors and the beer is UBER carbonated, most head I ever got from a bottle. Overall, I liked this APA, slightly different from other APA offerings and extremely carbonated.
