COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Assertive hop flavor joins the pine/citrus aroma characteristic of American hops to balance the full body provided by North American malts. After fermentation, the beer circulates through a bed of Cascade and Chinook hops, boosting the distinctive hop aroma of this satisfying ale.

A clear dark golden color with a nice white head that sustains and laces well. Aroma of sweet malt with some graininess and citrus. Taste follows aroma with sweetness from malt first and then grain and light citrus mid palate and a mild grassy bitterness at finish. Medium bodied with somewhat soft mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. While not overly complex, this APA is still well balanced and very drinkable. Not the best but adequate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle pours ac;ear pramge color wirh one-finger head that vanishes quickly but leaves good lacing. Aroma is full of floral hops and bready malts. Taste is slightly bitter, with a big malty backbone and a big bitter finish. Body is medium with average carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel Very easily drinkable, and one I’ll try again. Not outrageeously good, but solid.

On tap. Pours orangish with an off white head. Aroma is of hops, malt, and grass. Smells good. Taste is of grass, bready malt, pine, and hops. Not overly hopped, which makes it easy to drink. Mouthfeel is light and creamy. This beer was tasty, and it went down really easy.

I think I maybe overdid it on APA/IPA/DIPAs at World of Beer Fest. This one just didn’t do it for me.

Murky brown orange pour with half inch dense white head. Aroma of tropical fruit punch, earthy and Carmel malts too. Soft carbonation, tingly frothy mouthfeel, dry finish. Herbal flavors with tropical fruit, and some melon, and the perfect amount of big Caramel malt character. Good juicy tropical APA, would like to taste fresh as this bottle was 5 months old.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange/gold color. Thin white head disappates quickly. Aroma is of resinous hops and bready malt. The flavor is similar. Well balanced with piney, floral hops and a bread-like malt backbone, with just a touch of caramel sweetness. Medium body and carbonation. Slightly bitter with a rather short finish. Nice APA!

On tap, poured into a sampler at Great American Beer Classic. The aroma is bread with a citrus touch and some mild caramel. It pours a clear caramel color with a thin, light soap head that has a light retention and no lace. It’s a medium sweet front with a bitter finish. The beer is oily and flat with a medium body containing bread, caramel and bitter grapefruit near the end. The finish is malty with roast grains that remain in the aftertaste which is mild, waxy, and dry.

12 ounce bottle from a sampler pack. Pours an interesting sediment-particle-filled orange body with a thumbnail of white head that recedes within 30 seconds. Tight, sifting lace. Very clean aroma of resinous hops. The flavor is also clean and well-balanced between piney, floral hops and caramel, bread-like malt backbone. Hints of citrus and just a touch of herb. Medium carbonation and medium/full body. Now THIS is more like it! Much better than their pale ale I just tried.

12 oz bottle dated 1/5/15 poured into a pint glass. I will keep in mind that it’s slightly old at this point when reviewing. The beer pours a somewhat hazy golden orange with an inch or so of tan head that shrinks down a bit and leaves real nice lacing. Aroma is grassy hops, bready malts mostly. It reminds me more of a pilsner, but than again, the beer is a bit old. On to taste. Right away there is a bit of hop bitterness and bright citrus flavors. They are quickly met with a heavy malt backbone with tons of bread and biscuit notes, as well as some traces of toffee. The beer was easy to drink and I could have a few more. Overall not too bad, especially considering the age.
