COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Assertive hop flavor joins the pine/citrus aroma characteristic of American hops to balance the full body provided by North American malts. After fermentation, the beer circulates through a bed of Cascade and Chinook hops, boosting the distinctive hop aroma of this satisfying ale.

Bottle. Pours golden orange with a white head. Light piney hops, hints of fruity sweetness, and a mostly pale malty base, followed by a medium bitter finish. A well hopped, easy-drinking thirst quencher.

12oz bottle A - Pours an amber orange with a hefty eggshell head that last awhile. S - Citrusy and herbal, bready malt, sharp grain notes, sweet pale malt. average lacing. T - Follows the nose with heavy citrus and bread, stingy bitterness, grainy pale malt, herbal crunch, lightly toasty, the citrus turns less heavy and more bright. Pine resin comes through with a long finish bitter finish. Finishes slick with a false dryness. M - Moderate prickly carbonation, medium body. Nice flavors with an aggressive bite for an APA. My first from Shlafly and it won’t be my last. Serving type: bottle 08-25-2012

This is a great example of where American Pales are going and I’m glad for it. Dial back the bitterness of a great IPA and leave the nose intact. Great aroma of pine and petrol (in a good way).

EtTuCthulhu (464) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAY 11, 2013
The aroma of this beer is hoppy despite how subtle it is, and the appearance is a hazy golden color with a small white head. The taste is mildly bitter and a touch sweet, and the palate combines a medium body, slick texture, bitter finish, and a soft carbonation.

Pours a light gold color...almost pilsner-esque. Nose more characteristic of APA - some citrus and pine, but not too strong. Taste has some caramel sweetness, orange peel bitterness on the finish. Ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle dated 2/4/13 from Georges Buffet, Iowa City A-Light Amber, slight orange hue A-Grassy hop aroma, a little lemon T-moderate sweet malt, some biscuit in there also, earthy and grassy hop flavor with mild bitterness finishing P-Crisp body, medium carbonation and spice O-Nice balance with sweet malts and hops. Plays nicely with each other. I like the moderate grassy aroma to introduce me to the beer.
