COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Assertive hop flavor joins the pine/citrus aroma characteristic of American hops to balance the full body provided by North American malts. After fermentation, the beer circulates through a bed of Cascade and Chinook hops, boosting the distinctive hop aroma of this satisfying ale.

From bottle. Attractive orange appearance with some white head. Aroma was grass and pine with maybe a little grapefruit. Initial reaction was that this is a hoppier version of Schlaflyís Pale Ale, which is perfectly fine with me. Good warm weather session beer.

355ml bottle. Bottled 12/13/14. Pours a darker gold than in the picture. Aroma is basic, caramel, earth, citrus, ambiguous fruit. Flavor is fruity, herbal, farily round and watery but yet witha dry finish. Spicy and herbal, a bit acidic. Its decent.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. From notes, because internet outage. A: Pours a mildly hazy gold color. Thereís a finger worth of white-colored head. Itís bubbly texture has decent retention, and also leaves behind rings of lacing down the side of the glass. S: The malts here are quite nutty, backed by some piny hops, and even some indistinct spice notes. There are touches of citrus, but I wished this was stronger. All in all, a mild and unimpressive aroma. T: It starts off with some mild nut flavors along with caramel touches. The pepper I picked up from the nose is fairly prevalent here, also. Hops only really show up as a piny flavor near the back end. Not bad, but a classic example of a beer thatís balanced to a fault. M: Very crisp and light, even over other pale ales. Even better, it isnít particularly watery in feel, boasting decent body without overdone residual sweetness. Carbonation is at a good level, not too fizzy nor too flat. O: The feel was great, but everything else was rather lacking. Luckily, itís great drinkability helps (somewhat) to mask its less-than-amazing flavor profile. Still, this isnít going to be on my "repeat purchase" list anytime soon.

Ah, well itís a decent enough American Pale Ale. Dry-hopped title doesnít mean too much.

Highly carbonated with lots of pine hop aroma and flavor. Tasty but more hops presence than an a traditional APA.

12oz bottle. Gold amber color with one finger head. Earthy aroma, doesnít seem as strong as a normal dry hopped beer. Slightly citrus taste, mostly earthy. Alright beer for me.

On cask at the source! Delicious. Pours a slightly hazy golden with the kind of white small bead head retention, and lacing of the glass with each quaff, thatís only possible with cask conditioning. Aroma is hop spices from the dry hopping, pine oil mostly. Taste is smooth sweet pale malt, bread dough, a bit of grapefruit and pine, as well as mild bitterness. Goes down easy!

Bottle into pint glass, amber hued golden color with light tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, grainy and mango-y fruity/citrus hops. Taste adds notes of grass, bread and pine/grapefruit hop bitterness. Medium-light body, moderate carbonation, crisp, slightly creamy with some lingering citrus finish. Nice well rounded pale, need to try one fresher to see if hops pop more.
