COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlafly Belgian-Style Golden Ale opens with a fruity nose and rounded sweetness that compose a pale and balanced beer. Hallertau hops lend a hint of spice that balances the aroma and flavor of orchard fruit. Similar to our Belgian Tripel, but with a lighter body and a crisper finish, it is the perfect introduction to the family of Belgian beers renowned for their complexity and delicacy.

Really seemed to be more of just a basic blond ale. Odd choice for a special release, as it wasn't that special. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a slightly cloudy golden color w/ a long lasting head of fine bubbles. Its nose is mostly banana with a bit of a herbal note. It is medium bodied with mild carbonation and a strong vegetable bitterness in the finish.

Pour at the RBsG 2014 Schlafly Brunch (Maplewood, MO). Pours a pale yellow golden hue, gentle haziness and glow shows some frothy whitish head atop. A bit brighter, films smalll but laces welll enough. Aromas are clean, gentle malty sweetness is bread, some straw and mellow green earthy hops. Some gentle faint fruit is touches of meyer lemon, a touch sweet. Initial is lighter end of the fold, soft grainy pillow meets a bit of citrus, mellow dough and earthy hops. Middle is a touch grainy, gentle bread, faint citrus. Backend and finish is dry, a touch grainy with faint sweetness. Touches of earth, gentle apple and mellow bitterness tapers out. Clean, summery with some enjoyable fruit.

Tasting notes from 6/21 Joplin Macadoodles Beerfest: This was definitely my favorite new sample at the Beerfest. Good aroma, well-balanced spices, and an exceptionally crisp flavor. No funk or Brett. I normally prefer the darker, stronger Belgians, but this is an outstanding example of the regular style. Great stuff!

Very estery nose with lots red apple and pear. Slightly hazy light yellow with small white head and lots of tiny bubbles. Taste is floral, almost like eating flowers and leaves. Finish is drying. Enjoyable.

Sampled at the Bottleworks. Pours a near clear light gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has sweet grains, a touch of biscuit and some underlying Belgian yeast and light spice. Flavor has straw and slightly sweet grains with some earthiness and light earthy fruit in the finish.
