COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlafly Belgian-Style Golden Ale opens with a fruity nose and rounded sweetness that compose a pale and balanced beer. Hallertau hops lend a hint of spice that balances the aroma and flavor of orchard fruit. Similar to our Belgian Tripel, but with a lighter body and a crisper finish, it is the perfect introduction to the family of Belgian beers renowned for their complexity and delicacy.

Poured a crystal clear golden with no head at all. Drank at slightly under room temp. Nose has bananas bubblegum and some spice. Flavor is clean and crisp. Slight bitterness but also somewhat sweet. Medium body. A very nice beer. One of the better of their mass bottled beers. Very nice.

Poured from bottle. Slightly hazy golden yellow with medium white head. Taste is mildly fruit and spice..... a bit muddy at the start but finishes on a crisper note. Becomes smoother as it warms a bit. Pleasant enough but not totally Belgian in character.

Pours pale gold with a finger of white head that soon fades to a wispy cap. Aroma of lemon and yeast. Taste is very crisp with lemon, grass and yeast. Quite nice.

12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a two finger off-white head with good retention. Aroma of mild citrus, fresh fruit, with a hint of malt sweetness. The taste was a medley of floral hops, juicy pear, yeast, cloves, and spearmint along with a bit of light grainy cracker at the finish. Lighter bodied and crisp with a sharp carbonation.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a slightly cloudy gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma of banana and clove with a little fruitiness. Taste is light tart and very lightly bitter. Fruity with banana and clove. Full bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, pretty good. Then again, I’ve yet to have a bad beer from these guys.

I wish I liked Belgian beers more, this is probably a good one. Spices. Gentler hop build. Light body. Sampled at hop in the city 2013

Bottle. The pour is a light hazy yellow. The aroma is all Belgian. The taste certainly holds true to a Belgian, but on the pale side. Not my favorite style, or my favorite beer.

12oz bottle from Spirits Rt 166. Poured an unimpressive medium density golden body under a fizzy medium sized white head. Aroma of yeast, bubblegum, dry tropical fruits, sugar, troast, clove and banana. Full big body with lively carbonation and a lingering aftertaste. Flavor is the same as the aroma with a big nod to the Belgian yeast strain followed by bubble gum and dry tropical fruits. Meh this is okay but not really feeling it tonight.
