COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlafly Belgian-Style Golden Ale opens with a fruity nose and rounded sweetness that compose a pale and balanced beer. Hallertau hops lend a hint of spice that balances the aroma and flavor of orchard fruit. Similar to our Belgian Tripel, but with a lighter body and a crisper finish, it is the perfect introduction to the family of Belgian beers renowned for their complexity and delicacy.

Bottle. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeast balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with a medium yeast sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Bottle in KC thanks to jcnielsen. Pours a clear light yellow appearance with a white head. Spicy yeasty, banana, lemon zesty aroma. Fairly high carbonation. Big banana, lemon citrusy, a bit tart, sweet flavor. Sweet but pretty tasty. True to the style.

12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Bottled 3/25/13. Pours a mostly clear bright golden color with a small white head that settles into a small, eneven ring and wispy film. Aroma of sweet and bready malts, spicy hops, banana, apricot, and dough. Flavor of dried fruits, banana, sweet dough, spicy hops, and honey. Medium-bodied, with a sweet mouthfeel that covers the palate with fruity esters and medium carbonation. Nice Belgian ale.

Old gold, not much head. Smells yeasty, dry, and a wee bit fruity. Flavor is very malty and yeasty. The Bride called it "Belgian Sweet". A bit alcohol burn in the finish. Bottled on 04/25/2013.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold body under a one finger white head that left some sticky lacing. The nose is lightly fruity with floral hops and some light yeastiness. The flavor is really pretty interesting, there’s a nice juicy fruitiness to it that’s really refreshing. Just a light touch of bitterness on the finish that seems to enhance the fruity character from the yeast. Really well hidden alcohol, hard to peg this at 7% ABV. Light bodied and refreshing with perfect soft fizzy carbonation. One of the best Schlafly beers I’ve ever had.

12 oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head that fades into a thin ring. The aroma is sweet fruity, doughy yeast, spicy hops. The flavor is less sweet and more toasted cereal malts, light fruit, dough, light caramel; a touch on the dry side. Decent enough.
